New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), the Taliban, and Rick Perry’s USA

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is identical, in every way, to the Taliban found in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Determined to dramatically change the USA "back into" a theocracy, the Apostles and Prophets of the NAR have anointed Rick Perry to become the next President of the USA. In addition to altering the US Constitution, Perry plans on Jesus returning from the sky to rule over the earth, with the Texas Governor at his right hand, so that evil is abolished, sex regulated, and laws changed to meet C. Peter Wagner's ontology..Read More

Translation, Interpretation and the Misuse of words to start wars and create hate

Many people attempt to "translate" one language into another language verbatim (word-for-word) as if the two languages were the same grammatically. After this abortion had been completed, they"interpret" what they have composed according to their own culture and history. This leads to misunderstanding and wars, and can be compared with the outburts of Bill O'Reilly of Fox News against the media that labeled Anders Breivik a "Christian" but O'Reilly demonstrates no knowledge of early Christianity, and Anders did repeat what the crusading knights did to Jerusalem one thousand years ago, but without understanding the reason nor consequences. It is the delinguency of education that brings miscreants like O'Reilly and Breivik into the public realm and gives them time to express their ignorance and hatred.Read More

Michele Bachmann’s attack on US History, Constitution, Minorities

Michele Bachmann wants to be president of the USA--but not all of it: only President of those who are Christian, white, heterosexual, and wealthy. She rejects her own family (except when convenient for show), writes seeking presidential pardons for convicted drug and gun runners who contribute to her campaign chest, and caters to the hatred of the Tea Party against workers, elderly, and non-evangelicals.Read More

Martin Luther, Adolf Hitler, Bob Vander Plaats and Iowa

Robert Vander Plaats of Iowa, with the support of pseudo-scientist Stephen Meyer of the Discovery Institute, seeks to destroy education in Iowa and follows the diktat of Martin Luther and Adolf Hitler in denying human rights and civil liberties. Evangelical extremists throughout Iowa have flocked to his cause to enshrine the Bible as the source of wisdom, to subordinate women in obedience to men, and has merged tactics with the Denver, IA KKK and neo-Nazis throughout the State of Iowa.Read More

How to make learning exciting

While most will view this title as a pedagogic study, this paper is not about pure pedagogy. Instead I argue that no student will learn who is not challenged or where any subject is off-limits for investigation, interpretation, discussion and disputation. Arguments further knowledge while passive rote memorization of "established"/"set" facts discourage students and lead them into a Dark Age of ignorance. Examples must always be given with sources cited to stimulate inquiry. There is nothing sacred in "philosophy" which is the love of learning.Read More
