Ignorance in the USA is not “creeping along” but running backwards surpassing all scientific truths and realities in quest of the alma mater narcotic nipple of complacency and wishful thinking—and it is not just in the USA, it is a worldwide contagion. Attacks on workers organizing for better working conditions, pay, and fewer hours has plighted Europe since the fourteenth century. This has been especially true today in Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, and other Red States where new governors who bought their offices with money from the Koch Brothers by promising lucrative state grants have threatened violence similar to the Tea and Roses bloodbath, and the various attacks in the past on Wisconsin workers.
