Scott Walker, current governor of Wisconsin, is determined to end the existence of unions in his state in the same manner and for the same reasons (see the Milkwaukee, Wisconsin Journal at http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/117798133.html) as Adolf Hitler abolished unions two days after he became Chancellor when he won at the polls in Germany (and, using the voice of Hindenburg, at the same time dissolves the German Parliament [Reichstag]; two days later freedom of the press was limited): they had big money behind them, fiery oratory, and a desperate people. While the Germans stood behind Hitler as he advanced in power and cruelty, the people of Wisconsin are fighting back. One means at the disposal and use of those who love liberty and the right to collective bargaining is the boycott and the strike. For those who want democracy restored to the State of Wisconsin, it is best to strike where Walker is the most vulnerable: in his pocket books. Numerous web sites have put up a list of contributors to Walker’s power grab and that of the lunatic fringe of the radical right in the Wisconsin legislature. Now is the time to boycott those who support their un-American activities. Feel free to not support those in this list who supported Scott Walker in the 2010 election with contributions of over $5,000 or more.
Don’t give any of them a dime or any business. Tell your friends.

The biggest contributions to Scott Walkers campaign chest for the governorship did not even come from Wisconsin citizens–but from two economic terrorists: the Koch Brothers who have been in every seedy and unscrupulous political scandal for decades (see: http://thinkprogress.org/2011/03/07/scott-brown-david-koch-money/ and http://www.alternet.org/story/150167/rachel_maddow%3A_koch_brothers_%27pop_up_in_every_scummy_political_scandal%27?akid=6640.92205.AcV9UI&rd=1&t=21 with a bibliography at http://www.alternet.org/authors/8029/). Koch Industries owns Georgia-Pacific among many others. From their website:
“Georgia-Pacific’s familiar consumer brands in North America include Quilted Northern®, Angel Soft®, Brawny®, Sparkle® , Soft ‘n Gentle®, Mardi Gras®, Vanity Fair®, and the Dixie® brand of tabletop products. The company’s leading European brands include Lotus®, Colhogar®, Delica®, Tenderly® and the Demak’Up® brand of facial cleansing products. The company also markets paper towel, napkin and soap dispensing systems used in commerical settings.” These products should be boycotted.
On the effectiveness of boycotts, see: http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/515607/awesome%3A_wisconsin_firefighters_shut_down_bank_that_funded_walker/#paragraph3 and http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/03/11/955214/-Were-Going-To-Destroy-A-Bank which can result in this http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/03/10/954963/-Bank-that-funded-Walker,-now-Closed and http://crooksandliars.com/susie-madrak/wisconsin-unions-call-boycott-local-b
