The lack of water will end life as we know it. No place has a greater loss of water than Perú other than small nations in Arabia (such as Yemen). Climate change is global warming, and today it spells the death of South America and other areas if remedies are not found. Religion will be the biggest enemy of stopping this natural end of the planet as we know it.
A worldwide myth of their being a great ship that carried no less than a pair of all nonaquatic animals still is believed to be authentic by religious fundamentalists. Was there a Noah, an Ark, a Flood--or what does the story really say?
Racism has been a part of recorded history since its beginning of more than 15000 years. Much of it has come out of a myth that is popular among Jews and Christians: Genesis 9:20-27 which is plagiarized from a far older Egyptian text based on the theology centered around the God Osiris, coupled with ancient Greek tales.
While the teaching of Darwin’s theory of evolution still raises the blood pressure of USA Tea Bag Party Republicans/GOP, climate warming is now the monster of the moment. “Science is bunk” most Tea Baggers brag; and 74% of the GOP in the US Senate concur (http://blog.thenewstribune.com/letters/2011/04/11/gop-is-against-using-science-to-solve-problems/ and http://www.alternet.org/story/150340/ and http://blogs.alternet.org/speakeasy/2010/10/10/how-did-an-entire-political-party-decide-to-reject-climate-change-science/ on the economics of climate change and geopolitics, see: http://www.nationaljournal.com/columns/political-connections/for-energy-the-price-is-not-right-20110317?mrefid=site_search)...

Ignorance and arrogance push hatred to new levels in the USA, surpassing any of the crimes against humanity festered on the skin of the USA by Joe McCarthy and Richard M. Nixon--by two people far worse: Michelle Bachman (MN) and Steven King (IA) who would excuse murder in Iraq as equal to "hazing" while condoning hate crimes as "crimes of the mind." This is written to expose two of the most dangerous criminals in the USA Congress whose sole love is not for the history of the USA nor for its people, but for their grab for power and adulation.
Easter, the Easter Bunny, and Easter eggs all have one thing in common: they carry a message more than 7000 years old that a god rose from the dead.
Charles and David Koch have become gods to many, and have bought nine governorships in their drive to disempower workers, and to end basic freedom in the USA. Among the top ten worse polluters in the world, Koch Industries funds various fascist groups and continues to destroy the planet and its people.
Ignorance in the USA is not “creeping along” but running backwards surpassing all scientific truths and realities in quest of the alma mater narcotic nipple of complacency and wishful thinking—and it is not just in the USA, it is a worldwide contagion. Ignorance breeds hatred and violence as seen in the twin evils of the Florida evangelical church that burned a Koran, to the Afghani zealots who murdered in cold blood UN peace keepers. As Stephen Pizzo wrote (03/24/2011): “For the nation that has, for a couple of centuries, been not only a beacon of freedom, but also a beacon of knowledge and science, Creeping Ignorance at the heart of our government threatens to turn us into a nation only Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter, et al[.], could love: one big festival of stupidity...
