Keiko Fujimori pulls out stops, discounting truth, her father's and her own crimes, in quest of being President of Peru. She takes credit for what her father did, but what did he do that is creditable?
While most will view this title as a pedagogic study, this paper is not about pure pedagogy. Instead I argue that no student will learn who is not challenged or where any subject is off-limits for investigation, interpretation, discussion and disputation. Arguments further knowledge while passive rote memorization of "established"/"set" facts discourage students and lead them into a Dark Age of ignorance. Examples must always be given with sources cited to stimulate inquiry. There is nothing sacred in "philosophy" which is the love of learning.
In a desperate move to free her father from a 25 year prison sentence for crimes against humanity, Keiko Fujimori declared she would run for the presidency of Perú. When statistics showed she could win if she would denounce her father, she did that, and took to buying votes, lying about her past, and excusing the crimes of Alberto Fujimori--including stealing from the Perú treasury to fund his childrens education in the USA.
Harold Camping predicted the world would come to an end on May 21, 2011, and that the believers in Jesus would experience a rapture and rise into heaven. It did not happen, nor has it happened at any time in the past when it was predicted by prophets, priests, and pastors. When will the rapture come?
Who were the Christians? There were two groups, one who saw Jesus as a warrior, the other who believed Jesus to be a man of peace. But was there ever a Jesus? Were the Christians really persecuted? Can the "source material" be believed?
Keiko Fujimori is desperate to become President of Perú--and continued his failed policies and fascist form of government. To that end, Keiko hired former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani who claimed to cut taxes, provide security to citizens, end homelessness, and more. Both Keiko and Rudy lie, and here are the facts, statistics, and more.
Teaching in Perú, where education is underfunded, teachers are poorly taught, and libraries are nearly non-existent is a challenge. I have spent eight years in teaching English as a foreign language, but leaving teaching for reasons that have little to do with my vocation.
Christians delight in quoting from the Bible, which they claim goes back to the first century. Documents show that the Bible is not that old, but first issued in 322 CE and that revisions followed until it was declared closed by the Council of Trent in the sixteenth century. Numerous errors were put into the original gospel (John) with the additions of other gospels and letters, separating ancient christianos and chrestianos, and leading to a mythology of martyrdom and crosses.
Keith Ratliff, Sr., of Des Moines, Iowa, has called for the limiting of freedom in the USA, and argues that civil rights are only the rights of Black people because of their skin color. His message of hate is pounded out while he slaps his bible against whatever podium he is near yet his words prove that he is ignorant of the bible he is misquoting.
