Along with Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), the conspiratorial pro-Trump Republican from Georgia who took office earlier this year,¹ the members who participated in these conversations or had top staffers join in included Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).² Representative Paul Gosar assured January 6th “protesters” they would get a “blanket pardon” from Trump.³ Top staffers at the White House knew January 6 riot would bring violence and possibly death.⁴ Trump rejoiced about possible trouble and asked how his people get “them to do the right thing” and turn to violence.⁵ Giuliani goes wild for “combat justice” and wanted a revolution.⁵ Trump cared nothing about Pence’s life–but called the rioters “great patriots,” and even, before January 6, toyed with the idea of staging World War III if that would bring him back as President.⁷

One organizer said, adding that Mr Gosar said “that he’d spoken to the president about it in the Oval … in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up”.⁸ The organizers of the failed coup claimed they received “several assurances” about the “blanket pardon” from Gosar. “I was just going over the list of pardons and we just wanted to tell you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing,” Gosar said. ⁹

Representative Andrew S. Clyde (R-GA), born (November 22, 1963) in Walkerton, Canada, a strong defender of Marjorie Taylor Green,¹⁰ and owner of a gun store,¹¹ and incoming freshman, called the riot and invasion of the Capitol, a “tourist” visit.¹² But Trump-loving senators hid in a closet while the mob was breaking glass windows and wooden doors.¹³

Tommy Tuberville supported rioters for Trump

Alabama’s junior Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville felt threatened as was afraid of those rioting for Trump.¹⁴ Tuberville told the Washington Post that was hiding in a storage closet with around a dozen other Trump-supporting senators as they sought privacy from their colleagues to thrash out a plan. “One thing that was brought up was that people were hurt,” Tuberville recalled, adding that the theme of the discussion was: “Do we want to continue this if there’s not going to be a result we are looking for anyway?”¹⁵ The former Ole Miss Coach, Tuberville, was one of the senators that wanted to overthrow the Constitution and rule of law and install Trump as Dictator for Life. Tuberville invested in a company with Communist China ties and owns stock in other Chinese Communist companies that do business with the Trump family.¹⁶ Tuberville does not know what is in the Constitution, and was surprised when he was told that there were three branches of government–he could not correctly name the three. In his first senate speech he called for “god and prayer” to be put back in school, and used football metaphors to explain what he said, claiming “education and athletics” are alike.¹⁷ He claimed that the National Guard will battle the global supply crisis by driving trucks.¹⁸ Tuberville has a B.S. degree in physical education from Southern Arkansas University (where he lettered in football); he took no classes in history, civics, or political science. He is classified as one of the most undereducated and least brilliant senator in the senate’s history.

Brooks and Cawthorn spoke with Trump at the Ellipse on Jan. 6. In his speech at that event, Mo Brooks, who was reportedly wearing body armor,¹⁹ declared, “Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass.” Gosar, Greene, and Boebert were all billed as speakers²⁰ at the “Wild Protest,” which also took place on Jan. 6 at the Capitol.²¹ Ali Alexander, who  helped organize the “Wild Protest,” declared in a since-deleted livestream broadcast²² that Gosar, Brooks,²³ and Biggs helped him formulate the strategy for that event. “I was the person who came up with the Jan. 6 idea with Congressman Gosar, Congressman Mo Brooks, and Congressman Andy Biggs,” Alexander said at the time. “We four schemed up on putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were voting so that — who we couldn’t lobby — we could change the hearts and the minds of Republicans who were in that body hearing our loud roar from outside.” He openly declared he wanted to frighten Republicans inside the Senate, making them fear for their lives, to turn over the election results.

Ali Alexander, already recognized as a conspiracy theorist,²⁴ led Stop the Steal, which was one of the main groups promoting efforts to dispute Trump’s loss. In December, he organized²⁵ a Stop the Steal event in Phoenix. Gosar was one of the main speakers. At that demonstration, Alexander referred to Gosar as “my captain” and then declared “one of the other heroes has been Congressman Andy Biggs.”²⁵ Alexander has a long history of self-adulation and being “stricken” by powerful men.²⁷

Koch Coup Charles Koch’s political machine bankrolled Senators who attempted to steal the election for Trump

Not surprising, it was Charles Koch or Koch Industries that funded the Republican senators who attempted to overthrow the election and make Trump Dictator for Life. Koch’s political organization and family spent more than $15 million to put them in the Senate. Koch Industries PAC (Koch PAC), the Koch Industries-affiliated Aegis PAC, and members of the Koch family have together donated over $600,000 to the campaigns and leadership PACs of all 13, according to data from the Federal Election Commission. The 13 Republican senators—including Ted Cruz of Texas, Josh Hawley of Missouri, and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin—have decided to discredit themselves and placate President Donald Trump and his far-right voter base. After Hawley first announced he would challenge the electors from several disputed states, Cruz and 10 additional senators issued a joint statement calling for the formation of an election fraud commission, saying they would contest the election in the joint session of Congress on Jan. 6 to certify the final election results “unless and until” a 10-day audit is completed.²⁹
