“Is abortion murder? That was the question floating around the Iowa Capitol this week when Representative Tom Shaw and eight other House Republicans filed House File 138. The bill amends Chapter 707 in the Iowa Code entitled HOMICIDE AND RELATED CRIMES.” Charles Hurley confabulated recently.
Charles Hurley is a declared Constantinian Christian–who follows the fourth century Emperor Constantine’s established version of religion and has shown little knowledge of the Jesus if the gospels sanctioned by the empire. Like Constantine who demanded total obedience and self-sacrifice, Hurley, similarly delights in detailing to those willing to listen, that he is a “licensed attorney” and will by ukase transmogrify not only the Constitution of the USA to metamorphosize this ancient document into a weapon against human dignity and basic civil rights: a blood-curdled version of Matthew 10:34 that was glossed into the text in the tenth century. At the same time Hurley meditates on metastasizing the Iowa Constitution into a twenty-first century malleus maleficarum.
For a “licensed attorney”, I find nothing that herald’s Hurley sensitivity for or knowledge of precise definitions detailing death in Iowa law relating to killing (meaning: to deprive of life in any manner), murder (an act committed with malice aforethought, characterized by deliberation or premeditation or occurring during the commission of another serious crime, as robbery or arson), manslaughter (reflecting unlawful killing of a human being without malice aforethought), execution (the process of performing a judgment or sentence of a court) or other means of death. None of those words include abortion (the arrest of the development of an organ, or the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy). Hurley’s goal is overstated, initiating his intention to eradicate the entire corpus of civil and criminal jurisprudence as the emperor destroyed older gospels and epistles in 325 CE that he found personally to be personally objectionable.
Hurley has anointed himself Pontifex Maximus similar to ancient emperors1 who sustained stained, segregated, and strained unique claims tantamount to a declaration of lèse-majesté to determine what is best, in Hurley’s haunting hunting, for all Iowans. This “licensed attorney” supports his absurd ideas preaching from a Bible that was nothing more than random letters set aside in different cities as relics of past visits and remembrances of previous preachers and not written down and composed into a single book until the fourth century CE: such as the Codex Vaticanus (The Vatican, Bibl. Vat., Vat. gr. 1209; no. B or 03 Gregory-Aland, δ 1 von Soden) or Codex Sianaiticus (London, British Libraru, Additional Manuscripts 43725; Gregory-Aland nº א (Aleph) or 01, (Soden δ 2). The problem is that there are many, especially in the Pentecostal and other fundamentalist movements that are taught, wrongly, that the current bibles, primarily the King James Version (KJV), New Standard Version (NSV) and others are faithfully translated from “the ancient bible.” But which ancient Bible: the Codex Vanticanus, Codex Sianaiticus, or one of the hundreds of other “bibles” that appeared with the claim of authenticity from the fourth to the tenth centuries? The number of Gospels and Letters (Epistles) even to this day differ between the Roman Catholic and Protestant editions/versions, as they did even moreso in the early days of the Protestant Revolution in the Sixteenth Century and throughout the era known as the War of Religions.
Charles Hurley has but a thumbnail sketch of knowledge about the original intent and contents of a book only of recent origin, and not a text dating back to the first half of the first century. Its contents that he reads only in English: a hybrid language that did not even exist in the fourth century CE2. Worse yet, Hurley shows no knowledge that the writing of the Bible was not complete even after the seventeenth century with the release of the King James and Rheims-Douai versions, and word choice and the changing of words and phrases continued into the late twentieth century with the major distortion occuring in 1946.
Even though “licensed attorney” Hurley has no training in any religious study, and is illiterate in all Biblical and ancient Near Eastern tongues that did not come into being until the fall (abandonment or overthrow) of the mythological Tower of Babel3 in the Babylon of antiquity,4 that is of no concern to the self-appointed theological troglodyte of his vipers like Tamara Scott: an Aufseherinnen Hurley keeps on an ontological metaphorical leash tattered by abuse of use.
Hunched over baneful benighted biblical mistranslations manifested in jacketed texts of hard and soft cover much in keeping with the minced messages mandated by presbyters, pastors, priests, pontiffs and other persons of little or no note or fame and printed after 19465. Hurley is unable to separate fact from fiction in his preaching of credo, creed, canon, convention and conviction in areas of science and medicine, sociology and psychology that he also knows nothing about. It is as if Hurley was almost as charmed as the self-proclaimed “philosopher of science” Stephen C. Myer: director of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture (CSC) and a founder both of the intelligent design movement and the CSC, who has a PhD from Cambridge (but not a degree that shows him to be a scientist as anyone can gain any degree by parroting points pushed patently by professors who seek agreement and not disputation and the joint conduct of inquiry) but today argues that Genesis is literally true and that his god used the earth for his footstool (Matthew 5:35).
To put it charitably, Hurley is a fundamental frantic fanatic and feigned faithful fraud when he exerts claims of omniscience and omnipotence as a spokesman for the rising tide of mind control that has become the hallmark of Iowa’s neo-NAZIs and its organized hate group: The FAMiLY. Hurley uses the Iowa version of the group at C Street, a coterie of Cretans that include US Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and other congressional representatives who use its propaganda organ similar to the Goebbels ministry during the Third Reich that unfurls war banners of dominionism and the New Apostolic Reformation that Iowa conservatives seek shelter under to wage the battles of mythological Armageddon in its explicit advocacy of a solitary theocracy. Its people, like Vander Plaats and Hurley and their hordes tend toward the bizarre and take biblical literalism to an extreme more radical than Pentecostalism and charismatic prophetic non-traditional interpretations of of Ephesians 4:11, that propelled Rick Perry of Texas to seek the presidency of the USA.
Hurley wrote, furthermore, on Bob Vander Plaats blog: “Many people who are ‘pro-choice’ and ‘pro-life’ want it both ways. They will admit, often in private, that life begins at conception (thanks to sonograms6, microscopes7, DNA science, etc., it is clearly evident), but they will not concede that killing innocent human beings in the womb amounts to murder. As science shows (sic) those who would learn, DNA is a very stable molecule that if left alone even for years, will continue—as it is the building blocks that can become life over an evolutionary period of time given benign conditions. These conditions require that the DNA remains viable–but they cannot live on their own if exposed to heat or dryness.
Contrary to the myths moved by the messenger for The FAMiLY, DNA is not life itself. It is linked to the span of life but not to life without generation. DNA that left inside and dry at room temperature can last for years, such as that found on hairs in a hair brush. DNA in harsh conditions such as high heat or strong chemicals can degrade very quickly (minutes to years) 8 Hurley hurriedly interjected: “And no one wants to see young women, often scared or desperate, prosecuted for murder9 but nothing would please this “licensed attorney” more than to see a woman who had an abortion (regardless if it was a “missed abortion” that is defined as the expulsion from the uterus of the products of conception before the fetus is viable).

Chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage which takes place before the fifth or sixth week after conception: chemical pregnancy symptoms.
This can be a “spontaneous abortion” where 25%-50% of all conceptions are rejected by the host without any action taken on the part of the human incubator in the first few weeks, and 20% of all recognized pregnancies before 20 weeks of gestation, or any other form of abortion; studies show that only 50% of all pregnancies are successful10 and the woman still suffers either for her biology or freedom of choice–the latter that Hurley denies a woman who must make the decision on her own. It can be a chemical pregnancy resulting in an early miscarriage before the fifth or sixth week, and it can be a traditional miscarriage that can happen at any time including in the last week before the fetus moves to the birth canal. The decision becomes even more painful for the carrier of the developing fetal cells if they were implanted because of an act of violence expressed in forced entry or rape, or by a relative (incest) who sought only his personal sexual satisfaction.
It is not surprising that Charles Hurley has no intelligent concept of life. Hurley has no formal education, nor degrees in gametes or meiosis, fetology, embryology, pediatrics, other life concentrations, or any of the medical sciences. His lactonic-styled non-breviloquentic life is emotionally raw from desperately attempting to make judgments on medical issues with no medical background. Hurley is uniquely unqualified to offer anything but a private opinion. What Hurley has issued is not only wrong warnings distorting medical data but these wrenching words have no foundation in scripture. More diabolical is that the words Hurley and his theocratic truth-stretchers design creates a dungeon of danger for women who have to make the ultimate decision and shackles free choice of those who do not agree with his painfully perversely prejudiced and prosecutive pontifications.
“So what are we to do?” Hurley begged the question in his specious screed. Frothing fathoms faster than old-time prophets, the “licensed attorney” altercated languishingly in his self-created she’ol:11 “It seems absurd to redefine what a “person” is12 in order to accommodate our modern-day desire to kill the unborn (sic), and therefore avoid the inconvenience of birth and child-rearing (much like African-Americans were redefined as “property” rather than “persons,” so slavery could continue); this truth is untrue. Hurley is no historian of any subject, period, nation or people. His exaggeration of Black USA history is another distortion, easily disproved by the Constitution of the USA.
The Three-Fifths rule was defined in 1787 at the Philadelphia Convention to classify slavery not as property but in reference to the distribution of taxation and voting rights. Slave owners wanted each person counted, but since the slave holder voted for the slave, such a franchise would disproportionately outweigh the vote of non-slave holders; to this end a slave was considered to be equal to 3/5 of a vote, and proportionately lower their taxes13. A fetus has always been the property of the woman: The physical incubator. Men could claim damages only if the fetus was injured, and the amount of damages was determined on the recognizable gender of the fetus, among other numerous qualifiers as found in the Code of Hammurabi and more than 1500 years older than the Book of Genesis, and the Book of Genesis says nothing about the zygote, fetus or “unborn”. Most people in Iowa have never heard of this important document that not only shaped modern law but was the forerunner of any scripture or religious law.

Code of Hammurabi (1780-1772 BCE): the source for the Laws of Moses תֹּורַת מֹשֶׁה that does not appear until Joshua 8:31-32 that does not appear until c. 1200 years later.
14. The results of cloning are the property of scientists.15
If Hurley had even a marginal history of slavery, Hurley would have learned that Africans were considered property as early as 5731 BCE. In the colonial days, slave owners, including Baptist and Methodist ministers, regularly bought and sold, had forced sexual relations and performed public abortions on Black and American Indian slaves since non-whites were considered “carried the curse of Cain” and their “spawn” was not human and could be destroyed at will. Again this evil was brought about by the ministries of itinerant Methodist and Baptist ministers who moved between communities not spreading “the good news” (gospel, in Greek) but barking out loathesome screeds detailing End Times, Armageddon, Final Battle for Souls, and a merciless god who would punish anyone who defied the roar of reverends of the road. The Bible was seldom used to comfort, for the pastors, preachers and priests delighted on the terrorist stories of Gideon, Joshua and other mass murderers who acted on behalf of a god of vengeance while riding horses “to beat the Devil”–a mythological creature that all religions have to terrify people into submission. Not only was this the quest of those who transformed Allah and his three daughters into a single being for the worship known as “submission”: Islam, but became the weapon of choice against Muslims who captured Black men and women and sold them to British trading companies specializing in the marketing of slaves: all three groups using Abrahamic mythologies of a people cursed and their skin darkened that stayed within each civilization for more than one thousand years, finding final vent in the writings of Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon, that considered all dark-skinned people condemned to serve the white man (the “white man’s burden”).

17th century illustration of a Christian man abusing his “property” leading to aborting a fetus his sperm generated.
The mythology of the curse of Cain (Genesis 4: קַיִן the “crop farmer”) and later its repeat in the “Curse of Ham” (Ham or חָם is actually an Arabic word حام that means “hot” or “burned” and gave rise to the idea that the darkness of a person’s skin demonstrated the evil of the individual–where as in ancient theologies it signified a closeness to god who was represented as the sun who gave heat and stronger pigmentation to the chosen “children of god”‘ this, too, was replaced by directed mistranslations to maintain a stranglehold over people and justify slavery through the early twentieth century when Black people were still hung in Iowa, Nebraska, and other northern states–not just in the south where the KKK reigned over hearts and minds) was directed toward his fantasy son Canaan (giving justification for Apiru mercenaries/Hebrews to invade the settled civilization and steal it from the Philistines, Phoenicians and Palestinians), justified abortions of a greater scale by Baptist ministers in the middle to late seventeenth and early eighteenth century. American slaves were subject to all forms of torture from forced sodomy to garroting to being shot as dogs in the name of Christianity.
Slaves had no choice of whether or not they gave birth, or aborted fetal tissue (self-induced, evolution interrupted by complications or a trained of self-taught abortion practioneer, or various attacks on the female by her owner, as the body of the female slave was the property of the owner who made decisions concerning its function, especially if the zygote was a product of the sperm of the owner.16

18th century engraving of slavery in the USA where women went on force marches to cause the abortion of fetus generated by white Christian males.
Hurley hurriedly continued: “Yet it seems cruel to punish a young woman for having an abortion, when society has been telling her for 40 years that it is her choice. But it is doubly cruel to allow abortionists to profiteer from killing those women’s babies, while lying (sic) to women that it’s not a ‘person,’ when it truly is (sic).” The average cost for an abortion in the USA is from $500 to $1000, similar to cosmetic dental surgery–or an expensive dinner at one of the finest restaurants with a rare bottle of vintage wine that men use to find favor with a woman.17 The exact cost of an abortion depends on many factors. These factors include how far along the pregnancy is, the kind of procedure and anesthetic that are used, and the kind of facility (clinic, physician’s office, or hospital). In general, though, women getting an abortion between six and ten weeks’ gestation can expect to pay about $350 at an abortion clinic and $500 at a physician’s office. It is the abortion clinics that anti-Choice groups such as American Family Association, Concerned Women for America, and neo-NAZI groups, such as American Family Association, The FAMiLY and the KKK, want to close down. The majority of abortions in the USA are in the $350 range as they are elected in the earliest stages of pregnancy. Providing late-term abortions is somewhat more complicated. For that reason abortions are more expensive. For example, at 16 weeks gestation, abortion clinics generally charge around $650 and physicians’ offices generally charge around $700. After the 20th week, given the increased risks to the life of the host: the woman carrying the evolving fetus, the cost rises to above $1,000.18
Human freedoms and civil liberties and personal rights mean next to less than zero in the salons and prayer rooms and studies of Iowa pastors and priests and rabbis and other misogynist ministers of religions separating the sexes in an effort to control women. There is no record of any Jesus in the New Testament who decided that women were not equal and did have the intelligence to chose for themselves. On the contrary, the New Testament Jesus spoke up for women and condemned the males who cast aspersions upon any female,19 something that Hurley is mentally incapable of understanding along with gargoyle group of evangelicals who speak in tongues, engage in “spiritual warfare” and collapse into various forms of recognizable hysteria–all in the name of a god who gave them the “gift of tongues” (glossolalia coming from the compound Greek word γλωσσολαλία that is considered an “unlearned language”: xenoglossia)–that has no Biblical foundation, as the “gift of tongues” is spelled out in Mark 16:17–but many Biblical scholars argue tht the Gospel of Mark originally ended with Mark 16:8 and the remaining verses a deliberate addition or distortion to win favor of snake handlers. The relevant verse is in Acts 2 that reads: “every man heard them speak in his own language” and wondered “how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” It refers languages that were known and used in that time frame.
It is the vanity of weak-minded men who seek to ban abortions that have occurred since the beginning of recorded time and will last until the last mortal has breathed his or her final moment and merged with the stars and the universe. Terry Branstad and his bunch of bible-thumping troglodytes do not speak for me or most Iowans. Women who are desperate for an abortion will find a way to rid themselves of unwanted zygotes, fetal tissue, fetuses and more (as they did 5000 years ago in China when mercury was used)—or go to butchers like Gosnell since sane, safe, and legal abortions are denied them by monsters like Guth, Hurley, Vander Plaats and the unholy twenty in the Iowa Senate who would rather women go back to alleys and coat hangers and most likely die from self-induced abortions as they did before Roe v. Wade than to obtain a safe and legal abortion that would protect the women and their reproductive abilities. Planned Parenthood does more than offer women a choice: to elect an abortion or to carry a fetus to term; Planned Parenthood also checks for breast cancer, cervix cancer and various other elements of need for all women regardless of political, religious, or sexual affiliation or orientation. Hurly demonstrates the most horrendous ignorance of the reason for and value of Planned Parenthood and is more in keeping with the mentality of Josef Rudolf Mengele who had doctorates in anthropology and medicine and claimed that he was following the will of his god. While he is best remembered as the great abortionist who killed his victims before dissecting and dismembering them, it was written of him: “he was capable of being so kind to the children, to have them become fond of him, to bring them sugar, to think of small details in their daily lives, and to do things we would genuinely admire”20 His opposition to abortion was focused only on “Aryan” females.
Abortion manuals have existed for tens of thousands of years. They go back to ancient hierogyliphs (abortion was recorded in 1550 B.C.E. in Egypt in what is called the Ebers Papyrus) and carved cuneiforms that detail how a woman could rid herself of an unwanted pregnancy because of too many mouths to feed too little food as most was sent to the Temple or to priests who waxed fat off of their suffering. Women abortioned for many reasons: the ova was fertilized by the sperm of rate or incest, the woman was too old to safely bear children, there was no work and too little food, and there was no one able or willing to assist in raising the unwanted child who was usually abandoned. In ancient Greece, Hippocrates induced abortion using dilation and curettage. In the case of ancient Rome, taken out to the woods and exposed as meals for wild wolves and other creatures. Hurley and Tamara Scott can claim that all fetuses are loved, but in truth that is not the case, for once the fetus moves through the birth process it is forgotten and its welfare and the care of the birth mother are ignored, and like in Charles Dickens’ classic: Oliver Twist the mother is allowed to die and the child becomes only a means of labor that characterized the nineteenth century and found in many parishes in industrial areas and among coal miners and other day laborers. It was not a time of great celebration and unity, but one of reflection on how to feed a child once it was born, leading many women in industrialized London to kill the infant so it would not suffer from want or hunger.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) easily disposes of Charles Hurley´s mendacious misrepresentation and distortions. Contrary to the obloquy vituperations voiced by Hurley who castigates clinic and CDC records of fact, abortions in the USA area actually going down steadily and regularly: 5% in 2009 (the last year reported).21 Most women who have aborted their children regret that decision later, and are 81% more likely to have severe mental health problems like suicide. Hurley takes his exaggerated figure from www.afterabortion.org an aggregation that has no connection to any medical or psychological professional passel of intellectuals. The CDC that looks at all suicides from all aspects including depression brought on by religion, with the highest rate being among evangelicals who are tormented by their organizations22 nor any professional psychological organization has no statistics, negating the validity of one more Hurley fabrication—and this is one of Iowa’s “licensed attorneys”. This comes as no surprise when one reviews the curriculum vitae of those who sit in the Iowa Legislature.
Hurley consistently, conscientiously, and fraudulently misquotes medical records and issues lies that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) does not support. Dating violence and date rape lead to more suicide attempts than does any other form of depression.23 Neither pregnancy nor miscarriage (abortion or spontaneous miscarriage) showed a significant number of women who attempted suicide: the figure is 1.8% 24
Interestingly, Hurley never discusses how religion leads people to suicide.25 Hurley’s rant continued: “Either we were all “non-persons” at one time in our mother’s womb, and we were just lucky to have escaped the abortionist’s knife by our mother’s choice; or, we are all made in God’s image, and are “persons” entitled to the equal protection of the law. The truth seems clear; the law should reflect that truth.”
Hurley is correct about one aspect: we are all non-persons in the womb. Our shape, size, development and appearance is quite similar to that of any rodent, dog, or other animal as people are animals since in nature there is only animal, place, and thing (the three elements that make up the primary division of a noun).
What all animals, dogs, pigs, humans, apes, cats, dolphins, and other mammals have in common are: breathing, eating, sleeping, blood (or some fluid that continues during our life time) reproductive ability and some degree of compassion noting a mental ability. Dolphins and whales talk; humans do understand as many will not take the time attempt to learn their speech. Talk is more than mere vocalization of words. Animal communication can also be evidenced through the use of lexigrams and repetitive signs (mortals refer to this function as sign language). Linguists and other scientists know that bats speak in syllables, like humans, while apes are capable of using language that meets some of the linguistic requirements such as arbitrariness, cultural transmission, discreteness and productivity. Prairie dogs have been studied at length and today it is known that prairie dogs make different alarm calls for different species of predators, thereby defining and limiting their speech patterns to a specific species; at the same time, these same creatures issue alarm calls containing descriptive information about the general size, color, and speed of travel of the predator much in the same manner as do human.26
A zygote and a fetus is not a human being. A zygote, a word that comes from the Greek term for “joined together” or “yoked” from the word ζυγωτά defining a cell that is produced by the union of two gametes (an ovum and a spermatozoon) before that cells breaks apart into at least two separate but not necessarily equal parts. This separation is sometimes called the act of “cleavage” since it splits into two parts. The fact that the two parts can create an entire new entity (or whole). It is the foundation for the evolution of fetal tissue and ultimately the existence of a fetus (singular or plural, identical or fraternal).
A fetus is the young of any animal in the womb or egg, especially in the later stages of development when the body structures are in the recognizable form of its kind, in humans after the end of the second month of gestation.27 Recognizable means possessing characteristics, but a dead fetus also has the characteristics similar to any other animal, and comes from the Latin recognoscere “to perceive (a person, creature, or thing) to be the same as or belong to the same class as something previously seen or known; know again”.
As all professional psychological groups have concluded after detailed, rigorous and extensive study undergoing thorough and exhaustive peer review, is that the relative risk of mental health problems among adult women who have a single, legal, first-trimester abortion of an unwanted pregnancy is no greater than the risk among women who deliver an unwanted pregnancy. Evidence did not support preposterous pretenses of Hurley and his group or their claim that observed associations between abortion and mental health problems are caused by abortion per se as opposed to other preexisting and co-occurring risk factors. Most adult women who terminate a pregnancy do not experience mental health problems28.
Hurley’s most ludicrous and outrages question is so preposterous that only a neophyte would give it weight. Hurley harangued in one of The FAMiLY’s preposterous posts: “So, is abortion murder? If the unborn is a “person,” then how can it be otherwise?” No medical journal or society ever made the absurd claim that a zygote or fertilized egg nor the individual singular sperm itself (nor even a flood of sperm upon ejaculation) is a “person”. Hurley, who claims to be a lawyer and allegedly is licensed as a lawyer in Iowa at least has the fortitude to note that his supposition, as it is depends on a draconic bill that the neo-NAZIs in The FAMiLY are pushing to become law, is at present spurious and nonsensical and he can only hope that “someday, abortionists will leave the state of Iowa, and over 5,000 young Iowans (sic) will be saved from death every year.”
As stated earlier in this article, Hurley wants to overturn the US Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade. His hidden goal is to turn Iowa into an American Iran: imperceptive, ignorant, and inquisitorial, destroying human and civil rights in triggering a theocracy (θεοκρατία a term coined by Josephus) tearing asunder democracy as he wrote for himself and his flock of faith feigners flaunting factiously the words of reason: Danny Carroll, 641-990-2882; Greg Baker, 515-229-4053; Tamara Scott (P.O. Box 616 Ankeny, IA 50021). Phone: 515-259-0087 and signed his ukase: Serving Christ and His Church at the Iowa Capitol.

Cup (ca. 300 BCE) found in Egypt engraved with “dia chrstou o goistais” engraved for a chief magician.
This pronouncement makes one wonder if Hurley is speaking about the Egyptian Christ of the fourth, or earlier to the second, century B.C.E. who used a ceremonial cup, that contained his blood, with the inscription: “DIA CHRSTOU O GOISTAIS” that can be translated either as “by Christ the magician” or “the magician by Christ”. It was a ritual cup made out of earth from which water would be changed into wine that would be transubstantiated into the magician’s divine blood for “all to drink of it” and become the sons of god (ref. Job 2:1) and be stronger in knowledge as “Satans”: wise thinkers/magi and advocates/lawyers, as with the serpent in Gan Eden (the garden of Eden) when the serpent debated with the far wiser woman than Hebrew warriors (Numbers 5:1) renamed Eve (“life”)29. Frequently the Cup of Christ contained abortifacient as found in Hurley’s Bible: Numbers 5:17-19, the key verse is 18. “And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which (is) the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse….” cp. verses 19-28, especially vs. 1730 and v. 1831 in addition to vs. 1932. The New Testament is silent on abortion.
Hurley has no comprehensive knowledge of the Jesus of the New Testament. Nowhere did the Jesus who appears in the gospels sanctioned by the Emperor Constantine call himself “Christ”. Christ not a name. Christ is a title (noun) or action (a verb meaning “anointed”). The one who proclaimed the New Testament Jesus to be “a Christ” was Simon bar Jonas (Peter): Matthew 16:16. Furthermore, if we brush away the cobwebs of Hurley’s hurried theology, there was no early Church. That word, church, was an ancient Greek reference to a public gathering place–usually a law court. Church, as a noun, does not appear until Constantine creates additional law courts (ekklesia). It is Matthew 18:20 that we read about faithful who are gathered in a field or private home to discuss the message (not the person) of Jesus–and that became the first account to be twisted, turned, transmogrified by warrior bishops to protect their dominions and accumulation of wealth by demanding that the faithful (chrestianos and christianos) to enter the law courts to be registered (confirmed), be bathed (baptised) and begin the long trek to establishing sacraments that would bring the church tithes and other revenues.
While one could rightfully consider such crass incompetence from the Iowa head of Concerned Women for America and Co-Chair of Michelle Bachmann for President33 Tamara Scott,34 is among the most strange of her supporters. Scott has thrown her support to Hurley in quest of “a higher calling” that others not as rabidly radical as Scott would not give this concept even feigned notice and disavow the theocracy that Bachmann and others seek. Scott is no savant and has no knowledge about human regeneration and abortion save the hysterics of Hurley.
The fact is that the Jesus of the New Testament separated those who believed in god from those who served the state (in the earliest scrolls there was no church but rather was a cornerstone of faith and charity towards others without judging what others did. The church does not appear until 325 CE, when the Emperor Constantine created his law courts35; only later did the ruling “bishops” rewrite the Greek lexicon to style them as “churches”36; there is no word in ancient Aramaic for church thereby easily exposing Constantine’s additional lie to the gospels37 to rule over communities of believers38, further demonstrating not only Hurley’s intolerable ignorance of Iowa law but of the history of the emperor’s ontological creation: Christianity and the words of the Jesus (Matthew 6:6).39 The English word “church” comes from the Greek word kyriakos (Κυριάκος): “belonging to the Lord” (kyrios), but the “lord” was the civil ruler who made laws defining the actions of an enslaved people in an empire, carrying a sword to cut down dissenters.40
Hurley, like the infamous and poorly-educated pseudo-savants Carroll, Baker, and Scott, is unequivocally a follower of Constantinian Christianity: an ancient hate-filled gaggle of revolutionaries matching ancient Christian terrorists who set fire to the homes and temples of those who refused obligatory conversion to the new faith the erupted like a sore on the face of Europe in the fourth century, or attempted to live their lives without the suffocating interference of bishops and priests who demanded money in return for prayers or “guidance”. None of this new group infamous Iowans have shown the slightest interest in anything said by the Jesus of the New Testament, but like fourth century Christians are eager to destroy civilizations and people who do not agree with their warped fantasies, enchain them, enslave them, and force women to carry to term the festering fetuses that are a product of rape or incest to termination.
Jesus did not say one word about abortion, same sex relations, nor did he command people to arm themselves. Jesus said the opposite: Matthew 26:52, a passage that adds to the great distress of Hurley’s horde horning the gullible and uneducated, while Matt Windschitl and the National Rifle Association are raising as a Te Deum in Iowa and throughout the USA as serious supporters of terrorism in a nation where the Second Amendment is elevated to god-like status equal to any Bible or holy writ. They do this in defiance of what the Amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, ignoring that the Amendment is mandating a “militia” (army) and “the people” are those within the army. It does not state that everyone can carry a semi-automatic weapon into the Iowa State Fairground as preachificated by Windschitl (if this is the case, as Windschitl argues, I have every right to carry an arsenal of fully loaded semiautomatic weapons into his office when he is sitting and pontificating). The US Supreme Court in United States v. Miller 307 U.S. 174 (1939), upheld a statute requiring registration under the National Firearms Act of sawed-off shotguns, on the ground that Miller limited the type of weapon to which the Second Amendment right applied to those in common use for lawful purposes.
It was militant mercenary Jews before the Jewish Jesus appeared in biblical record who said a great deal: giving sanction to “ripping out” and “dashing against stone” the “fruit of the womb” of those women and their men who did not follow the dictates of the Old Testament gods and prophets 41.
In his hatred for dissent, Hurley and his hortatory heralds have been joined by twenty-one members of the Iowa Senate filed a resolution Thursday proposing a fetal “personhood” amendment to the Iowa Constitution that would give human embryos a right to life beginning at conception. Various, vicious, vitriol-varnished Iowa Senators have already proposed declaring every single drop of sperm a baby and demand that those who masturbate are tried as first-degree murder, as I have published previously. Tragically, most Republicans in Iowa do not elect intelligent people to represent them in Des Moines. The energized Republicans who seek a polarizing police state in Iowa prefer to live, like the German people under Hitler, in pretended ignorance of reality and the world around them,42. Hitler´s greatest support came from Industrialists, Business leaders, ultra-conservatives that religious right endorsed (similar to Hurley’s support for Santorum, Scott, and Romney), who pushed their laborers to vote NAZI to keep their jobs. The women who joined, supported, and sang the praises of the NAZI movement were similar to the membership of today´s Concerned Women for America who would warmly welcome fanatical fascism in the USA: denying women the right of choice43 people to be treated equally at all levels of the law, etc—the exact opposite of Tamara Scott´s savage scolding spiel.] when they are not buying ballots to cast in the political fund raising action for the Republican Party that the media declares is a “straw poll”—the only straw is in the barns where new generations of Republicans are formed in trysts when not cradling their rifles and other armaments.
The lead lawmaker on Senate Joint Resolution 10 is the pathetic patronizing predator Senator Dennis Guth, R-Klemme who uses Constantinian Christianity to buttress his deliquesce discordant donnybrook. Guth was praised for his stance against abortion during an Iowa Statehouse rally earlier this week sponsored by The FAMiLY Führer Bob Vander Plaats. Vander Plaats, who laughs at references to genocide and has the mindset of most Germans 1939-1945,44 and would make the instructions of Martin Luther, and his spiritual son Adolf Hitler, the law of the State of Iowa.
While Hurley and Vander Plaats claim that they are working to “restore” the kingdom of “god” on earth, neither understands that this “kingdom” never left, cf. Matthew 10:7: πορευόμενοι δὲ κηρύσσετε λέγοντες ὅτι Ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν, that is a rephrasing of Mark 1:15: . καὶ λέγων ὅτι Πεπλήρωται ὁ καιρὸς καὶ ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ] Like the Grand Inquisitor in Fedor Mikhailovitch Dostoïevski’s Братья Карамазовы (The Brothers Karamazov), Hurley and Vander Plaats would be the first to tell the New Testament Jesus he was no longer necessary nor wanted in Iowa 2013.
Many Iowa voters prefer liars and demagogues, as with Guth, Shaw, Windschitl, and Hurley´s horde of supporters who chant for change to the Iowa Constitution to obfuscate their own obnoxious orientations and oratory while denying others basic human and civil rights. This is clearest in the proposed predatory resolution amending Article I of the Iowa Constitution. Opponents of freedom want the Article to draconically declare: “The inalienable right to life of every person at any stage of development shall be recognized and protected.” Medical science is to become the conjuring alchemy of future generations and doctors to practice obeah mysticism: declaring things that are not to actually exist, that dividing cells are people and sperm is sacred.
Front line feens who would savage the Iowa Constitution have little enlightenment and a most colorful past patented to ignorance and ignominy. Democracy is abhorred and rights a bartering chip available to the most unscrupulous bidder. The senators sponsoring the resolution include 20 Republicans, and one Democrat. Three Republicans did not support the odiously opportunistic order pushed by Der Führer. The sole Democrat backing the measure is Joe Seng of Davenport. The supporters want to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.
At the proscenium of the pack preying for Iowa is Dennis Guth of 1770 Taft Avenue, Klemme IA, 50449, Phone: (641) 430-0424. Guth wants Iowans to work for less so that the rich become richer. Public education is to be gutted by vouchers and home schooling. Guth took from Iowa State University in 1977 with a degree in Agricultural Mechanization, walks lock-step with Bob Vander Plaats and The FAMiLY, Guth is on the board of Elders (presbyters) of the Britt Evangelical Free Church an organization that is enslaved to popular post-1946 Bibles, whose pastor´s knowledge of original scrolls is non-existent, and whose preaching pours metaphorical salt into personal wounds that his personal misunderstandings open gashing wounds.
Joe M. Seng is a Roman Catholic who sides with his church over human and civil rights but practices birth control (he has one daughter and one granddaughter). Seng received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, was a former Davenport City Alderman. A member of the NAACP, Scott County Democrats, Knights of Columbus that has massive funds in the Vatican Bank, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, and Holy Trinity Mission School Board, Seng remains silent on pedophile priests in Iowa,45 after consulted with Bishop Martin Amos of the Diocese of Davenport before launching his campaign to unseat Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District last year, Rep. Dave Loebsack, also a Democrat, because of Obama´s stand on abortion (Obama personally opposes abortion but says the final decisions rest with the woman carrying the fetus).46
Besides Guth and Seng, the Senate resolution is sponsored by Republican Sens. Ken Rozenboom of Oskaloosa, Kent Sorenson of Milo, Amy Sinclair of Allerton, Nancy Boettger of Harlan, David Johnson of Ocheyedan, Jake Chapman of Adel, Mark Segebart of Vail, Bill Anderson of Pierson, Joni Ernst of Red Oak, Rick Bertrand of Sioux City, Tim Kapucian of Keystone, Hubert Houser of Carson, Jack Whitver of Ankeny, Mark Chelgren of Ottumwa, Michael Breitbach of Strawberry Point, Jerry Behn of Boone, Brad Zaun of Urbandale, Randy Feenstra of Hull, and Roby Smith of Davenport.
Ken Rozenboom of 2200 Oxford Avenue, Oskaloosa, IA, 52577 Phone: (641) 295-6551, is a farmer who graduated from Pella Christian High School and attended Calvin College in Michigan two institutions who believe that god physically wrote the bible and that every word in the book is literally true. Rozenboom is a member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church and served several years on the board for the Oskaloosa Christian School and his stated that those who are Christians are not saved and follows strict Paulinity with little attention to the words of the New Testament Jesus. When it comes to Iowa and its young, Rozenboom is against increasing education funding, damning the Democrats for wanting to raise the limit on educational funding 11% while Rozenboom wants a raise of a miserly 2%, earning him the name of being Iowa´s Ebenezer Scrooge.47. In the Iowa House he is matched by Representative Larry Sheets (R-Moulton).
Kent Sorenson of 14358 S23 Hwy, Milo IA, 50166, a strong supporter of Michele Bachmann targeted by the Iowa Senate for numerous ethics violations filed by former Michele Bachmann presidential campaign staffer Peter Waldron. Citing Iowa Senate Code of Ethics, Rule 16A, Waldon who was the state chairman for Bachmann’s campaign, issued his 41-page complaint alleging that Sorenson was involved in a violation of criminal law, as well as Iowa Senate ethics rules that Tamara Scott (co-chair of the Bachmann campaign) and Michele Bachmann refused to address. Barb Heki, another former Bachmann campaign staffer, accused Senator Sorenson of stealing the Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators (NICHE) database off her computer, and filed a 12-page criminal complaint against Sorenson in September 2012.48
The Urbandale Police Department investigated the theft, and concluded that it was committed by “a senator” from Milo. Sorenson is the only state senator from Milo, who admitted he did it out of economic interests—as he is a consultant.49 Heki´s criminal complaint was included in Waldon´s along with an affidavit signed by Eric Woolson, Bachmann’s Iowa campaign manager. Woolson lends credence to Heki’s claims, stating that Sorenson admitted he was involved in the theft of the database.50 Bachmann admitted that she knew about the theft but did nothing about it, declaring that her candidacy for the presidency of the USA was the will of her god. Sorenson received $50,000 ($7,500 a month salary personally approved by Michele Bachmann)51 from the Bachmann campaign, against Iowa Senate ethics guidelines that forbids payments to any senator from any candidate.52 The Minneapolis Star-Tribune revealed that the Federal Election Commission and Office of Congressional Ethics53 are looking into the Bachmann campaign’s financial dealings with Kent Sorenson, and the probe pushed out to expand its ethics investigation into Michele Bachmann’s Book Tour.54 There is a proposed investigation into the activities of Tamara Scott and her Bachmann ties. He is the ranking member on the Iowa Senate Government Oversight committee, and, ironically, on the Human Rights Board.55
Amy Sinclair of 1255 King Road Allerton, IA 50008, Phone: 641-870-0199, is a “friend of agriculture” but not of education in Iowa. Her husband, Boyd, is listed both as a fifth grade teacher and as an elementary principal at Wayne Community Schools. Sinclair ran on the platform of “Iowans deserve a State Senator who is an experienced leader tempered with faith and strong family values”. Faith is monolithic: Iowans must believe in the Christian god.56 She wants, by declaration: Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa, but is against Medicare and Medicaid for poor and underemployed women, starting with a ban on Medicaid payments for medical care an abortion for women who were the victims of rape57—they tend to vote Democrat. With little background on education, she lists none,58 she sits on the Education committee, and has an unbroken policy of refusing to tell voters where she stands on any issue to any Iowan, but she does have a 92% favorable rating with the National Rifle Association (NRA).59
Nancy Boettger of 926 Ironwood Rd, Harlan IA, 51537, is a farmer, the owner (in some accounts she is a co-owner) of a bed and breakfast, and a former educator. Although Boettger was born in Chicago and raised in Evanston, IL, she took a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Iowa State University and Bachelor of Arts in education from Buena Vista College. A biblical literalist, Boettger is a member of PEO, American Baptist Homes of the Midwest Board of Directors, and Iowa Prayer Breakfast board member that argues for a theocracy to rule the State of Iowa and the USA, she is a member of First Baptist Church, Iowa Pork Producers, Cattlemen’s Association, and serves on various health education boards although she has had no formal training in health issues. Boettger endorsed Bachmann of President of the USA, and found no fault with various ethics breaches concerning Bachmann’s judgment.60 She introduced SF 85 requiring voter ID, SF 19 prohibiting the use of automated traffic law enforcement systems and requiring their removal, SF 113 exempting gaming floors from the prohibitions of the smoke-free air Act, SF 232 to allow public funds to be used for private education, and others restricting human and civil rights.61
David Johnson of P.O. Box 279 Ocheyedan IA, 51354, Phone: (712) 758-3280 is a vocal opponent of a woman´s right to choose what she does with her body. He graduated from West Branch High School, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in history from Beloit College in Wisconsin. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton, and finds it offensive for anyone to bring up the issue of pedophiles in the Roman Catholic hierarchy, rejects any role for women in religious celebration, and is bound to the Vatican. He signed an affirmation for an Iowa Legislature Prayer Caucus62 and rejects the separation of state and church as long as the union is Judeo-Christian while rejecting the religions of other people, while the USA had Muslims, Jews, Buddhist since the founding of the democracy.63.
Jack Chapman of 1206 Lynne Drive, Adel IA, 50003, Phone: (515) 402-3203, is better known for his athletic interests than his legislative prowess or insight. He ran on the platform of limited issues, appealing to the base hatred of voters in his district: it was his intent to define marriage as being between one man and one woman, eventhough, as stated, there is no biblical evidence of such a claim since no biblical character before Simon bar Jonas is recordded to have had only one wife, as even in Talmudic legend Adam had two wives: Lilith and Eve. There is no injunction for monogamy in either the Old nor the New Testament.64. ורגון, שמואל גרסיאל, משה(n.d.). מנחותידידותוהוקרהלשמואלורגון (published by) אוניברסיטת בר-אילן,] and banning abortions.65, even though his Bible rejects such ideas, with Solomon having more than 700 wives and 300 concubines,66 and David taking a harem67, Abraham marrying his sister and her servant, and so forth.68 Chapman has an Associate and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from AIB College of Business in Des Moines.
Mark Segebart of 1820 350th St. Vail IA, 51465; Phone: (712) 269-4519, is a farmer, like most Republicans in Iowa. Segebart is also a school bus driver for the ArWeVa Community School District. Segebert’s wife teaches in a public school. They are active members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla, where a Martin Luther´s dictum of fear comes before and with a higher priority than love.69
Bill Anderson of 1138 Mason Ave. Pierson IA, 51048, Phone: (712) 375-5478, served on the congressional staffs of Senator Chuck Grassley and Congressman Steve King in their district offices. He is conservative, runs a small tax accounting business and believes in limited rights and freedoms. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and is a Roman Catholic who has never condemned the pedophiles in the Roman Catholic Church in his diocese or state, including that of Sioux City, Iowa, Roman Catholic Bishop Lawrence (also spelled Laurence) Donald Soens who is accused of pedophile activities by 31 children in the diocese70. Soens was a favorite of John Paul II, who received the convicted pedophile with honor in the Fall of 200471 Accusations against Soens have been throughout his 48 year career, from being first principal at Regina in 1959 until his retirement under pressure. Anderson not only has said nothing about Soens, even as a student in Sioux City, but his handlers screen all potential questioners who might embarrass the youth who legislates from Des Moines.
Joni Ernst of 910 N. 6th Street, Red Oak, IA, 51566 Phone: (515) 281-3371, has 18 years of service in the US Army Reserves and Iowa Army National Guard, she served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004. She has shown undisguised interest in being a U.S. Senator, where she would fit well in the “old boys network”, with little to interest in women’s issues or women´s equality. Her interest is in limiting spending, regardless of who is put out of work, or how many homes are foreclosed and families left homeless. She is against funding education without “accountability” by teaching what is acceptable to her even if that is contrary to scientific realities or principles of democracy. Ernst is against modifying immigration laws, claiming that “there are too many here practicing illegal activity” without spelling who is doing what illegally, and not once noting that many undocumented workers are brought into the USA as cheap labor, that is quite common in Iowa where the farmers exploit Latin Americans to enrich themselves while paying minimum wage or less, as in Hardin, Hamilton, and other rural counties.72 In the same way, Ernst erases educational advances, as when the Iowa State Senate approved legislation that would require children already enrolled in the state´s voluntary preschool program to attend preschool regularly. Republican Senator Joni Ernst voted against the bill saying that she was worried that the measure could eventually lead to mandatory preschool—a choice that she claimed should be left to parents. Ernst´s comprehension of the English language, in this case, is weak at best, for the legislation is aimed at keeping student already enrolled in the program to stay in school and thus not waste tax dollars. Nowhere in the legislation is there any statement that the program would be mandatory.73 Ernst was hiding her fear and loathing that the children of migrant farm workers and other children of poor, underemployed and semi-employed would benefit, and defeat her aristocratic ideas of separating the classes that are emerging as castes in Iowa. Ernst thinks that a family can live on minimum wage even if only one parent is working.
Rick Bertrand of 1501 Peavey Street, Sioux City, IA 51105, Phone: (712) 234-0809, graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 where he studied Economics and Political Science. While Bertrand claims that he is wants children protected, he has said nothing about the pedophile priests in his home town, nor even commented on the pedophile bishop Soens in his diocese where he attends Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Parish. Instead, Bertrand uses his position to further his own ambitions and wealth, as when the House passed legislation to add additional revenue to help Sioux City businesses expand,74 with one being business being Bertrand´s proposal to develop 20 Townhouses and construct 9 Buildings, on the vacated Grant Elementary Schools site that runs adjacent to the new Unity Elementary School. Bertrand, who’s company operates under the name AlleyCat holdings plans to invest 1.9 million dollars in new construction and infrastructure 75 now that the State of Iowa provided the necessary additional funding. This is a serious breach of ethics that is not new to Bertrand. Ethics states that a person is not to profit from any legislative act that is intended for the people of the state in the no-contract no interest rubric that is broken regularly by elected officials.76. It engulfs many notables, including Paul Ryan 77 Mitt Romney 78 Bertrand who struggles to silence dissent when it comes to his business dealings, in October 2010 filed a lawsuit in Woodbury County District Court against his Democratic opponent at the time, Rick Mullin, and the Iowa Democratic Party, claiming he was defamed by a campaign ad that claimed Bertrand ” “Bertrand was a sales agent for a big drug company that was rated the most unethical company in the world. The FDA singled out Bertrand’s company for the marketing of dangerous drugs to children.”79 The frivolous lawsuit ignored the basic point that Bertrand was an agent for the drug company, yet Bertrand stated that “Bertrand was a sales agent for a big drug company that was rated the most unethical company in the world. The FDA singled out Bertrand’s company for the marketing of dangerous drugs to children.”80 Takeda Pharmaceutical Company (Takeda Yakuhin Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha) began operations in 1781 in Japan, has growing holdings in the USA and does market pediatric drugs and the dangerous drug is a sleeping pill (Rozerem) for children that was advertised and marketed in Sioux City.81, but its sales suspended by Takeda in September 2006, and was not asked to be withdrawn by the FDA until March 2007 because of Bush politics and financial support. Mullin’s advertisement was legitimate, as evidence existed on Rozerem’s dangerous effect for more than five months before the FDA took action.82 Fortunately for justice District Judge Jeffrey Poulson had the judicial wisdom to reject the request for punitive damages sought by Bertrand, ruling that the testimony of Kyle Mattes, a University of Iowa political science professor, was “too speculative to support an award of lost profits” to estimate the potential profits the ad caused Bertrand to lose at his downtown Sioux City businesses, McCarthy and Bailey’s Irish Pub and the Big Snug. The establishments opened only after the election, that Bertrand won by less than three hundred votes.83. Bertrand was awarded $50,000, not the original $231,000 set by the jury.
Tim Kapucian of 1275 69th St. Keystone IA, 52249, Phone: (319) 442-5337, is a supporter of Rick Santorum, whom he endorsed for President of the USA, and a theocrat. Kapucian took a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science at Iowa State University, and operates a livestock farm outside of Keystone. He did vote to retain Craig as President of the Iowa Board of Regents of the state university system, but the Republican majority voted Craig out of office. He voted against funds for mental health care in Iowa (SF 440; the bill passed), but to give tax breaks to businesses that donate to food banks (SF 439), against increasing the education budget (SF 162 as he did with SF 52 earlier) and increasing the state budget by 4% for K-12 schools for the 2014-2015 school year (SF 161), but has an 83% favorable rating with the NRA.84
Hubert Houser of 34697 Beechnut Road, Carson, IA 51525-4069, Phone: 712-486-2597, “attended” Carson Macedonia Community School and Iowa State University. He has been in politics since 1979, and belongs to the conservative Macedonia Methodist Church. Loved by the NRA, Houser voted in favor of authorizing people to carry concealed weapons without a permit (Amdt 5371, March 27, 2010), and arm campus police (S3371, April 18, 2007)—a amendment that failed. He voted to prohibit late-term abortions (April 25, 2007), but in favor of mandatory HPV (human papillomavirus that cause most cervical cancers85) vaccination coverage (HF2145) that most conservatives oppose thinking that it will either stop early sexual activity or lessen the sex drive in females. Houser voted against appropriations for mental health services for Iowans (SF 440), funds to community college program (SF 429), expanding Medicaid eligibility requirements (SF 296), additional funds for schools (SF 2284), funding for public schools (SF 166), education and employment training for those out of work (SF 328), but did vote to allow people to carry concealed weapons/guns (Amdt 5371) and against prohibiting liquor licensees from permitting criminal activity adjacent to their premises (HF 788).86
Jack Whitver of 4019 NE Bellagio Circle, Ankeny, IA 50021, Phone: 515-865-6394, a sportsman who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in “Exercise Science” at Iowa State University (2002) where he was a three year starter on the football team, and a Master of Arts in Business Administration at Iowa State University (2003), and later graduated from Drake University Law School. He was the assistant football coach at Drake University (his only job before joining the Iowa Senate in 2011; he lists his race in 2006 for District 66 in the Iowa State House of Representatives), and is a Lutheran tied to the original principles of the former-Augustinian German monk with decided views on what constitutes a “family” misquoting the Bible to state that marriage is between one man and one woman (ignoring Jacob’s two wives, the wives of Moses, etc.), would make divorce illegal, and is anti-Choice and homophobic. His businesses are all sports related. He was required to testify to the Iowa State Ethics commission on what he knew about the ethics charges against fellow Republican State Senator Kent Sorenson87 Whitver is a supporter of Michele Bachmann, and follows her contorted view of the family and religion. Whitver voted against state funding for additional mental health care for Iowans, arguing that it would force the state back into a recession.88
Mark Chelgren of 819 Hutchinson, Ottumwa, IA 52501. Phone: 641-777-7047, has a limited education. He attended the University of California at Riverside to study physics, took an Associate in Science introductory degree from Riverside Community College and claims he was a geologist in 1996.89 Chelgren received a certificate in Business Management from the Forbco Management School. Chelgren has been an Iowa State Senator since 2010, is a member of the Veterans Affairs committee and Economic Growth committee, with marginal experience, but is a member of the National Rifle Association and argues that all people have a right to carry a gun. Chalgren’s greatest fear is of NAZI indoctrination in schools when he compared preschools with NAZI training camps, saying that preschools take away the rights of parents to determine early training for their children. 90 Chalgren has only a thumb-nail sketch of knowledge concerning NAZIs, and no knowledge about preschool or preschool education; he is the greatest threat to small children in the area of learning reality. Chalgren lies when he claims he is an historian, and when he throated in Iowa State Senate:
“When you talk about education, it’s a vital responsibility because our children are very important. As Senator McCoy pointed out, the Chinese are taking 2- and 3-year-olds and educating them.
“And as a student of history, I also know the Nazis, the Soviets, a whole variety of groups, a whole variety of countries, take their children because it’s not just up to age six they’re so malleable. The day after they’re born is when they learn the most percentage wise. And so what question I have for this body and the question I have in general, if it is all about indoctrinating a child, I would use the exact same arguments that the Nazis used, that we should take children immediately, as soon as we recognize they have potential.
“What I would challenge us with instead is to put the responsibility on the parents. Because it is parents’ responsibility and families’ responsibility to make sure that in the formative years of growing as a child, they are taught the values and they are taught and educated by their families and they have that bond, that maternal and paternal bond, that is developed during that time. It is not the role or responsibility of this government to take that away from families and to replace it with an indoctrination process by teachers.”
While all nations indoctrinate students as to the nation’s superiority and further its language, the biggest difference is that in NAZI Germany, students found religion optional, unlike it is in the USA or many western nations (e.g. Italy, France, etc.) and the core curriculum did not change but remained as it existed under the Kaisers for generations. All generations have required their teachers to be “patriots” and instill national values.91. Objectivity has seldom been sought out and those who counter societal assumptions bear the burden of societal scorn as was the case with Professor Josef William Fox of Iowa State Teachers College (later UNI) who was branded, wrongly, as an atheist for requiring objectivity and study of all matter. I have a bachelor in history degree from State College of Iowa, a Master in history degree from University of Northern Iowa (same institution) and far more advanced studies in Illinois, Ohio, Arizona, and Europe. There is not one word of truth in this absurd rant by Chelgren. The lecture by Chelgren is a disgrace distorting facts to prove point that do not exist and is a disservice to Iowans and disgrace to Iowa. For a legislator such as Chelgren to ignore the fact that Iowa’s preschool program is voluntary, and parents currently choose whether to send their children to a public program, a state-funded private program or a private program that gets no tax money, proves his total unfitness to serve in any elective office, but only his constituents have the right to make that decision.
Michael Breitbach of 301 W Mission Street, Strawberry Point, IA 52076, is an insurance counselor and co-founder, with his brother Tim and Roger Swales in 1984, of Trans Star Trucking Company (1984) giving him credibility in his role as a member of the Transportation committee. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, in 1978, with a degree in Accounting/Business. A member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, he has never spoken out about pedophile priests within his church. He voted against appropriating funds for mental health services for Iowans (SF 440), against expanding Medicaid eligibility requirements (SF 296), against increases in Earned Income Tax Credit (SF 442), and has been an outspoken foe of education in Iowa, voting against increases in the education budge (SF 162), increase in the state budget by 4 percent for K-12 schools for the 2014-2015 school year as he did on SF 52. Breitbach has a 92% approval rating from the National Rifle Association, the only special interest group that he has ties with.92.
A favorite of the Khristian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in Iowa, Jerry Behn of 1313 Quill Avenue, Boone, IA 50036, Phone: 515-432-7327 (Home), has a weak education, but he does have a high school diploma. He is on the education and ethics committee yet does not seem to understand the term “conflict of interest”, despite being in politics since 1995. He has a 100% favorable rating from all anti-Choice groups, and 0% from Planned Parenthood. He has a marginal rating in the area of human rights and civil liberties. His rating among environmental groups goes from 31% to 40%, but when it comes to guns and weapons he has a 92% favorable rating by the National Rifle Association that issued him a “Lifetime Score” of A. He ranks at zero among labor groups, but 100% among the Iowa Chapter of the Ku Klux Klan and the Iowa Family Policy Center that buttresses Bob Vander Plaats and his cronies.93 Behn has introduced numerous bills to regulate or forbid family planning, funding for abortions, and providing various penalties for abortion (SF 38, 39, 40, 41), but is concerned with gambling casinos being overly regulated (SF 81 to the Smoke-Free Air Act for some bars); is opposed to undocumented workers even if brought to Iowa by Iowa farmers (SF 102), and has sought to regulate marriage (SJR 8).94 He is an avid supporter of Israel, regardless of its record of human rights abuses (SR 114).95
Brad Zaun of 7032 Holcomb Avenue, Urbandale, IA 50322, Phone: 515 953-5767, was mayor of Urbandale (1998-2005), and has aspirations of sitting in the Congress of the USA. He has been in politics since 1996. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Grandview College, and attended Ellsworth Community College. Hot tempered, in 2001, Zaun was the subject of a police report filed by an ex-girlfriend, Michelle Condon, who claimed that he was harassing her at her home. According to the report, Zaun pounded on her door and windows while “yell(ing) from outside calling her slut and other names.” Zaun did not deny any of the claims in the police report, but noted that the incident would “not change his campaign” against Democrat Representative Leonard Boswell.96 Zaun’s voice was “slurred”, according to the official report (Zaun claims his voice was slurred because he was nervous) claiming that Condon was with another man by the name of Danny. He has a 100% rating from the American Conservative Union, and 83% from the Iowa Family Policy Center, a 92% rating with the National Rifle Association and a grade of A from Gun Owners of America and the NRA. He is opposed to labor rights and received a grade of zero from the Iowa Federation of Labor, but did get a rating of 27% from the AFL-CIO for “positions on workplace rights”—Zaun is more aligned to employers’ rights. Concerning family, marriage and children, he is a vocal advocate for the sanctity of marriage (he has had two, and several girlfriends), and the Iowa Family Policy Center gave him a favorable ranking of 83% for defending marriage and his efforts to recall Iowa Supree Court justices who unanimously voted that marriage was not to be restricted to any particular group.97
Randy Feenstra of Hull (he, officially, uses a postal address of P.O. Box 160 227 Ninth St. Sheldon, IA 51201 but he lives at 641 Second Street, Hull, IA 51239, and the phone number of 712-324-5347) took a Bachelor’s degree from Dordt College and a Master degree in Public Administration from Iowa State University, and has been a Sunday School teacher for ten years offering literal readings rather than historical to his classes. He has little interest in the environment or clean air in Iowa, being given a rating of 31% by the Iowa Sierra Club. In the area of human rights and civil liberties, the ACLU gave him a favorable rating of 63%. He has a 92% favorable rating with the National Rifle Association. Like his colleagues, he voted against funding mental health services (SF 440), and against appropriating funds to community college programs (SF 429) as he has noted against all forms of educational funding (SF 162, 161, 52, 2284). One of his few Yea votes was prohibiting state funding for abortions (S 5206) as he is a Roman Catholic, and has said nothing about nor introduced legislation to incarcerate pedophile priests and bishops such as Soens of Sioux City, Iowa. Feenstra voted against appropriations for health and human services (HF 649), Iowa Mental Health System (SF 525), and funding for education and employment training (SF 328).98
Roby Smith of 2036 E. 48th Street, Davenport, IA 52807, Phone: 563-386-0179, another site of pedophile abuses, not just among Roman Catholic clergy but even among Protestant pastors, has another person in the state legislature who has not introduced legislation to curb child molestation. A Lutheran, Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the parochial Concordia University and is the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Education (Joint Appropriations). He is a Youth Group Leader of Trinity Lutheran Church, has a rating of 63% on civil liberties and civil rights, an 86% rating on conservative positions from the American Conservative Union, and a grade of A from the National Rifle Association. Roby Smith does not believe in the people’s right to know where their representatives and senators stand on any issue and has refused to tell citizens of his District where he stands on any issue that was addressed in the 2010 Political Courage Test, despite repeated requests from Vote Smart, national media, and even prominent political leaders. The only people he talks with are NRA members and their supporters.99 Roby Smith is among the most dangerous members of the Iowa Legislature, and follows the directives of the NRA.100
The language in the Iowa Senate resolution reflects the wording of a personhood amendment recently approved by the North Dakota Legislature.101 That proposal will appear on the November 2014 general election ballot, giving that state’s voters the choice of accepting or rejecting it.102 A similar amendment failed103 in Mississippi in 2011104 and in Colorado in 2008105 and 2010.106 Opponents of the North Dakota amendment have called it an intrusion on women’s private medical decisions, adding it could prohibit in-vitro fertilization and some methods of contraception. 107

- Michelle Bachmann is a woman so crazed with fear of lesbians that she ordered women out of a restroom, while her husband Marcus Bachmann (an unlicensed “psychologist” (read: http://gawker.com/5820437/marcus-bachmanns-big-gay-mess, as Minnesota is one of the only states in which you can practice mental health without a license), as noted by Trisha Stark, of the Minnesota Psychological Association (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0711/58291_Page2.html). Marcus Bachmann does not have any doctorate and definitely not a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology as he graduated from The Union Institute in 1986, but the Union Graduate School only offered a Ph.D. in Arts and Sciences. The only doctorate in Clinical Psychology was offered after 2001, and the degree is a Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) and not a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) as Bachmann and his supporters, including Tamara Scott of Ankeny, Iowa, who have no familiarity with the degree, claim (read: http://cubbyscorner8.blogspot.com/2011/07/bachmanns-bluff.html.). Congresswoman Bachmann vocally rejected federal subsidies, like her husband, then Marcus accepted over $137,000 (read: http://politics.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979529612.) while his wife, whose education is as fraudulent as her husband´s coming from Oral Roberts “university” and Pat Robertson’s Regents “university” where she studied law but failed the bar exam, made her way into Congress and then regularly gave herself “ear-marks” (subsidies) accepted federal subsidies to push her husband’s discredited reparative therapy; read: http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jun/26/nation/la-na-bachmann-20110626 and http://politics.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979529612. ↩

I think a copy should be mailed to every Fuckublican legislator mentioned in the article.
Thank you. A copy was sent to every Iowa representative and senator, as well as to those who feel any politician, any man, any woman can determine what a woman does with her body. Please pass the article along to your senators and representatives at the state and national level. No mortal is god, no mortal is infallible or has a divine right to determine anything except for himself or herself when it comes to a personal decision concerning a person’s life and physical well-being by choice.
Morality cannot be (successfully) legislated.
Many believe abortion is murder yet many Americans who can not get pregnant the way nature intended chose artificial means. Doesn’t human manipulation of an egg and a sperm go against nature? But you don’t hear people debating artificial means of a woman getting pregnant!
You are correct about the double standard. There is nothing “natural” about a test-tube “baby” nor is there any guarantee that the zygote in the dish will survive. Nature only details that sperm is ejaculated with friction that causes it to rise up and push out into the vagina, while the ova or egg drops and can be penetrated any where in the “womb” including in the tubes that house the other “eggs”–and lead to the murder of the woman. The religious and political right are silent about a fetilized egg that kills the host but cry out against a woman exercising her Constitutional right to rid herself of unwanted fetal cell growth. The artificial means leading to pregnancy are unnatural since it does not happen in nature, but then the politicians in all backward states such as Iowa, North and South Dakota, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, etc have few politicians who have more than a bachelor’s degree and most have that in farming. Iowa’s legislature is one of the least educated legislatures in the union, and their rants reflect antediluvian principles more in keeping with tenth century fantasizes than any modern medical discoveries.
