Ignorance increasing in Iowa: Idiots in the Legislature, Predators in Pulpits

Iowa Legislature: House of Representatives
Iowa Legislature: House of Representatives

Nine self-righteous sedentary state Representatives in Iowa: Tom Shaw (R-Pocahontas), Greg Heartsill (R-Melcher-Dallas), Dwayne Alons (R-Hull), Jason Schultz (R-Schleswig), Robert Bacon (R-Maxwell 1), Larry Sheets (R-Exline), Kevin Koester (R-Ankeny), Joel Fry (R-Osceola), and slothful sciolistic Sandy Salmon (R-Janesville 2) introduced a bill that would, among other things, insert the following new language into state law:

“2. ‘Person’, when referring to the victim of a murder, means an individual human being, without regard to age of development, from the moment of conception, when a zygote is formed, until natural death.

3. Murder includes killing another person through any means that terminates the life of the other person including but not limited to the use of abortion-inducing drugs.” 3

The Ames Tribune explains what this means: “Those charged with murder, under the bill, would include a mother who takes abortion-inducing drugs or a doctor who performs an abortion” – with no exceptions whatsoever.

Iowa has never had a quorum of well-educated or even moderately learned legislators.  Iowans have endured the rants of unlettered ground tillers and religious sycophants determined to force their ontology and etiology on others, while tail-gating to wrestling meets and basketball games.

Scholarship exists in Iowa, but is rare; it can be found on the three main state university campuses but is lackluster in the community colleges. Iowa’s only Nobel laureate was Dr. Norman Borlaug at Iowa State University who was awarded the Peace Prize in 1976, but there are promising scholars–who, sadly–are thinking of leaving Iowa, seeing it as not only a rising Police State, but the ultimate definition of Animal Farm in a present-day 1984 4.

The majority of the legislators, at best, have a bachelor degree. The primary choice of study is business for men or English for women, although the latter is barely used and hardly understood as Annette Sweeney demonstrated so graphically in her official biography. The nine representatives leagued to deny women choice are poorly educated.

Tom Shaw defines "person"

Tom Shaw defines “person”

Shaw, Heartsill, Alons, Schultz, Bacon, Sheets, Koester, Fry and Salmon have cratered a new substratum cavity that sucks in the intelligent to spit them out into more amenable climes as the brain drain in Iowa hemorrhages its best scholars to other states more gifted with tolerance and respect for human and civil rights. When this discipleship of nine totalitarian tyrants thrust their tepid tortured thoughts on their colleagues (after taking their oaths of office) Iowa became inconsequential, inutile and inferior to the advancement of learning, quest of knowledge, and seat of wisdom. Shaw, Heartsill, Alons, Schultz, Bacon, Sheets, Koester, Fry and Salmon have harpooned the basic principles that characterize democracy, thoughtlessly transmogrifying the Tall Corn state into a plutocratic quasi-theocracy where a few control the many and the poor are bayoneted by banks brandishing high interest rates and loan sharks devour the hourly paid who fork over $10 for every $100 cashed.

Iowa has joined a similitude of savage servants that cannibalized civility and became the Fourth Reich: Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer.  A society of religiously intolerant people, the common thought is that of the world of Luther and the Kaiser and adopted by Hitler and his Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei: defined as Gott mit uns that still is repeated from St. Ansgar to Bettendorf, Quad-cities to Denison and everywhere in between.

Austrians welcome NAZIs

Austrians welcome NAZIs

The renegade nine and their supporters are like the German and Austrian people who welcomed the NAZIs with flowers and sweets and hymns. German and Austrian Roman Catholic and Lutheran bishops praised Hitler in the same way that the nine representatives who will steal human rights from Iowans are praised by their constituents with the Black Hawk County Republican Womens’ gathering seeing in Salmon a modern day savior from the evils of abortion, lesbianism, and disbelief–many are Lutherans and hail the return of women “to their rightful place”.

The Black Hawk County Republican Women have more in tune with the past than any consideration of the present or promise of the future.  Those who attend are usually older citizens, have a narrower perspective than their younger counterparts and progressives, and are more in tune with the century-old dicta: Kinder, Küche, Kirche (children, kitchen, church) that did not begin with Hitler or the Kaiser but began with Marie C. Remick in A Woman’s Travel-notes on England in 1892 5.

Among the more interesting aspect is their adherence to faith without question, even though their Bibles show “faith alone”  (sola fide) appears in only one place and as a single verse–and then it is a misreading of Romans 3:28: λογιζόμεθα οὖν πίστει δικαιοῦσθαι ἄνθρωπον χωρὶς ἔργων νόμου.  It is refined in James 2:24: ὁρᾶτε τοίνυν ὅτι ἐξ ἔργων δικαιοῦται ἄνθρωπος καὶ οὐκ ἐκ πίστεως μόνον–a point that Martin Luther misunderstood and passed his error on to those who followed his teaching.  The key here, that the Black Hawk County Women miss in their Lutheran studies is the phrase ἄνθρωπον χωρὶς ἔργων νόμου that literally is “people without works of Law” meaning that faith is not separated from but a part of works for the good of others (the Law as defined in John 13:34: ἐντολὴν καινὴν δίδωμι ὑμῖν ἵνα ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους καθὼς ἠγάπησα ὑμᾶς ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους).  The Black Hawk County Republican Women’s Club conveniently forgets anything that is unsettling to its lifestyle, especially ignoring Matthew 7:1 and Acts 10:24 to cover their rampant hatred of others.

Lutheran Bishop Martin Sasse argues for more action against Jews on July 28, 1936 in Germany

Lutheran Bishop Martin Sasse argues for more action against Jews on July 28, 1936 in Germany

Martin Sasse, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thuringia and a leading member of the German Christians movement, published a compendium of Martin Luther’s writings shortly after Kristallnacht. Sasse “applauded the burning of the synagogues” and the coincidence of the day, writing in the introduction, “On 10 November 1938, on Luther’s birthday, the synagogues are burning in Germany.”  The German people, he urged, ought to heed these words “of the greatest anti-Semite of his time, the warner of his people against the Jews” 6  Diarmaid MacCulloch argued that Luther’s 1543 pamphlet, Von den Jüden und iren Lügen (On the Jews and Their Lies) was a “blueprint” for Kristallnacht 7 and would be the guide for the Tea Party and the advance of hatred in the USA 8.

Kristallnach "rounding up the Jews" to the celebration of German Lutherans

Kristallnach “rounding up the Jews” to the celebration of German Lutherans

On the evening of 11 November, Goebbels ascribed the events of Kristallnacht to the “healthy instincts” of the German people. Goebbels explained: “The German people are anti-Semitic. It has no desire to have its rights restricted or to be provoked in the future by parasites of the Jewish race.” 9

None of the nine Republicans have ever had a course in embryology, nor  medical training or work in any reproductive field. They use their elective offices to push their particular brand of religion onto the state in an effort to create a theocracy. Their attacks on Iowans in many cases reads like an outline for the extermination of the Jews in the writing of Martin Luther 10.  Luther advised Christians to carry out seven remedial actions to erase “the Jewish problem” (or any other discredited people or past time).  Luther’s
solutions are for

Kristallnacht burning synagogue in Baden-Baden

Kristallnacht burning synagogue in Baden-Baden

1. Jewish synagogues and schools to be burned to the ground, and the remnants buried out of sight;

2. houses owned by Jews to be likewise razed, and the owners made to live in agricultural outbuildings;

3. their religious writings to be taken away;

4. rabbis to be forbidden to preach, and to be executed if they do;

5. safe conduct on the roads to be abolished for Jews;

6. usury to be prohibited, and for all silver and gold to be removed and “put aside for safekeeping”; and

7. the Jewish population to be put to work as agricultural slave labor.

That Luther’s work was the source of the NAZI holocaust can be seen in the fact and in the images of the treatise being on display at all NAZI functions during Nuremberg rallies, and elsewhere. Visit Dachau or any concentration camp to see crosses near ovens that cremated Jews and other “undesirables”–the same as with Vander Plaats’ and his mentally disturbed wife‘s “joke” about “shooting fags”.

The treatise and Martin Luther’s anti-Semitism was not formally denounced by Lutheran congregations until the end of the twentieth century. 11  The dysfunctionalism within Lutheranism, especially the Wisconsin and Missouri Synods that is the cult of my own uncles, continues to this day especially among many Lutherans sitting in the Iowa Legislature.

Tom Shaw: "Sperm is life."

Tom Shaw: “Sperm is life.”

A woman who has an abortion to save her own life could spend the rest of her life in prison. She would be, forever, labeled a murderess.  Mentally unstable (but a holder of a minor two year degree), State Rep. Tom Shaw claims he authored House File 138 to protect human life, whether “you’re a zygote, an infant, a teenager or an adult.” In private conversations, Shaw intoned that sperm was sacred and masturbation was murder.  “Anything that destroys the chance of life is murder”, he commented.

Robert Bacon

Robert Bacon

With no education in medicine or in embryology, Christian calumniator Republican state Senator Rob Bacon (R-Slater), a co-sponsor of the staid and ossified bill, while legislating as a member of the Iowa Taliban, told the Ames Tribune, that he wanted to “protect the life of the unborn [sic]” because “[t]here’s still some of us that believe life begins at conception.”

Only the most illiterate would argue the charade ejaculated by Shaw, Salmon and Bacon and their grotesque gaggle of clodpates. All scientific material disagrees that life begins at conception. Shaw’s escalating ignorance of basic biology; embryology and the development of life would be laughable if it was not so dangerous to the rights of women.

Life does not begin at conception. According to the American Heritage Dictionary and all medical and scientific dictionaries, “life” is defined as: “The properties or qualities that distinguish living plants and organisms from dead or inanimate matter, including the capacity to grow, metabolize nutrients, respond to stimuli, reproduce, and adapt to the environment. The definitive beginning and end of human life are complex concepts informed by medical, legal, sociological, and religious considerations.”

Neither the sperm nor the ova (egg) nor a zygote or embryo can metabolize nutrients, respond to stimuli, reproduce, or adapt to the environment. This is a delusion dwelt on by the deranged, demented and dangerous powers that control the Iowa House and the destiny of Iowa’s citizens who cannot flee this devaluation of reality.

Human zygote

Human zygote

In biology, a zygote is “the cell produced by the union of two gametes, before it undergoes cleavage.” It has no life on its own. The American Heritage Science Dictionary further defines the zygote as: “The cell formed by the union of the nuclei of two reproductive cells (gametes), especially a fertilized egg cell.” This could be a fertilized chicken egg, salmon egg, or any other form of egg that is fertilized with sperm.

Human development (Kyoto and Tsukuba universities)

Human development (Kyoto and Tsukuba universities)

The embryo is the young of a viviparous animal, especially of a mammal, in the early stages of development within the womb, in humans up to the end of the second month. In medicine, it is an organism in its early stages of development, especially before it has reached a distinctively recognizable form and most practioners view it as an organism at any time before full development, birth, or hatching, while in humans, the embryo is the prefetal product of conception from implantation through the eighth week of development. There is a full science on life and fetal development.

The real effect of this legislation is to increase the number of surgical abortions in Iowa and thus limiting the work of doctors since the medications can only be prescribed in the early weeks of pregnancy while surgical abortions may be performed several more weeks into a pregnancy. From there it is but a small step to declaring that all vertebrates and molecular cells are also people.

To remain viable legislation in comparison to a viable life form that the authors are pushing, either bill had to be voted out of the full committee by Friday, March 8th, 2012. While the Iowa House of Representatives is heavy with hortatory heralds with little intellectual grasp of reality and less penchant for stating what can scientifically be proven, it appeared unlikely that the troglodytes will win this round as the illiterates in the Arkansas legislature did when they over-rode the veto on a similar absurdity of their sitting governor in March.

Chip Baltimore

Chip Baltimore

Republican members of the Judiciary Committee led by Chairman Chip Baltimore from Boone, Iowa—a city that hosts the most volatile chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in the tall corn state—believes fervently that life does, in fact, begin at conception. It is a partisan issue as there are no Democrat members in either the House or in the Senate who champions such an abuse of medical science.

Not a total idiot like most of his Republican colleagues in the Iowa legislature, Baltimore recognizes several “hard questions” that need answers before the legislation should proceed. Part of his wavering is neither he nor all of the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee agree, or are prepared to answer them in the teeth of hostile press, constituents, etc.

Human zygote two pronuclei

Human zygote two pronuclei

What the illiterate in the House of the Legislature do not understand, as has been clearly stated by Dr. Michael Bennett, chairman of the neuroscience department of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York City, is that the brain does not exist at the time of conception. Without a brain there is no human. All that exists is potential—similar to the potential of Iowa legislators that sits dormant in their grey cells. Zygotes do not have brains. It is impossible for a zygote to be a “person.”

Fetal brain development

Fetal brain development

The fetus does not develop with a brain in place. There is little appearance of any brain before the third week.  A brain is essential if an organ such as a fetus is to feel or perceive sensations, perceptions and conscious experiences. A newly developed fetus cannot do that. There are no brain neurons before four weeks into fetal development. Most abortions occur during this period. What remains of the aborted fetus is blood and tissue: no little feet, little hands, no head, nothing else but blood and tissue. There is no cortex with sufficient axons, dendrites and synapses to sustain the process of thought, feeling and awareness before the twenty-eighth weeks—no matter how much Shaw, Heartsill, Alons, Schultz, Bacon, Sheets, Koester, Fry and Salmon scream their insanity to protect the fetus.

The earliest that “personhood” could be considered would be in the seventh month. Few abortions are even considered at such a late term 12.

Two bills in the Iowa House Judiciary Committee relate to the definition of a “person.” HF 138 by Representative traducer Tom Shaw and eight others, and HF 171 by Representative Matt Windschitl (born 1983, represents District 17) and 11 others would legislate into law that all humans [read: fertilized eggs whether or not attached to the uterus] are legal “persons” entitled to equal legal protection from the moment of conception.

While Windschitl is against all abortions regardless of how the pregnancy occurred. Windschitl is a fervent supporter of the murder of abortion providers, and rejects abortion as murder.  This thundering theocratic troglodyte also introduced the reprehensible to many people his version of “stand your ground” bill into the Iowa house.

Windschitl’s bill would empower all Iowans to respond with deadly force if they feel threatened and would protect them from liability in some cases if they feared for their lives. What Windschitl forgets is the reality that many women seeking a safe and sane abortion are openly harassed, attacked, spat on and even had weapons displayed as they moved to enter a clinic that would relieve them of an unwanted pregnancy, would have the right—in fact the obligation—to be fully armed and when accosted by anti-choice armies, pull out their assault rifles and other weapons and “stand their ground” and execute those who threaten them.

To take Windschitl’s argument further in line with Windschitl’s lackluster logic: any person in Iowa has the right to kill Windschitl in defense of his or her right of choice that Windschitl would deny each person, his denial being an act of treason. Windschitl’s legislation is identical to that which empowered mass murderer Adam Lanza of Sandy Hooks, CT, and Christian terrorist Anders Breivik of Norway, to buy and carry assault weapons and plan mass exterminations equaling that of the early Reichskristallnacht, with agreeable legislators praising the alleged right of all people to own and carry weapons of mass destruction. In the USA, with such Mephistophelean groups as the National Rifle Association, the weapon of choice has become increasingly the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle (used by Lanza to murder and dismember first graders, and James Holmes took into the Century Theater Cinema in Aurora near Denver in 2012—that, with NRA propaganda, boosted sales for more and plots for further murders, has argued forcefully that all people have the right to a violent revolution and overthrow of the government—including that of the State of Iowa.

Iowa Patriots tired of Windschitl’s attacks on human freedom have the right to carry guns, knives, pitchforks, assault weapons and even grenades into the House of Representatives in Des Moines—according to Windschitl’s Old Testament rants and misquotes. Those who believe in law and not the psychosis of the wild wild west may execute any and all Iowa legislators, including Windschitl who pontificates that the people have the right to overthrow their government, and can butcher the pathetic excuse of a Governor whose son Eric murdered an elderly couple in Iowa (Terry Branstad nominated his son to the Iowa Natural Resources Commission, proving that nepotism is alive and growing in Iowa), and the egocentric extremist power-hungry Lieutenant Governor who stand against individual rights and personal freedoms—without penalty.

Matt Windschitl

Matt Windschitl

Windschitl and Salmon seem to have taken their cue from mythological children of Man: Ignorance and Want. Windschitl is like the most junior senator from Texas: Ted Cruz who has a degree in law but shows no understanding of law or the Constitution of the USA while the legislator Windschitl who became a part of the problem in the House of Representatives at age 22 with no significant experience in anything.  This brings to mind the judgment of the second spirit in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol where the spirit defined men like Ebenezer Scrooge who had the same attitude as Windschitl, Cruz and Salmon: “It may well be that, in the sight of Heaven, you are more worthless and less fit to live than millions like this poor man’s child”—for both initiate legislation that will do one good but will harm many.  Windschitl is for those who are “unique” not for those who fit into a unified community.

Former Marine Sandy Salmon (R-Janesville)

Former Marine Sandy Salmon (R-Janesville)

Windschitl, Cruz and Salmon’s stipendiary obsequience to the NRA is nothing less than flatulent pomposity. Windschitl and Salmon could easily be pulled out of the legislative halls and forcibly taken to the front steps of the capitol and meet Madame Guillotine. At this point patriots fleeing Iowa from the tyranny of Windschitl and his gaggle of goons who are five cans short of a six-pack, can quote the nefarious sycophant serving the NRA, that the roots of liberty would be watered by the blood of tyrants like himself and Sandy Salmon (ascribed to Thomas Jefferson, but actually said by Bertrand Barere (1755-1841), 13; Jefferson was citing it in a letter about Shay’s Rebellion in Massachusetts, in which Jefferson also wrote that it was: “”founded in ignorance … The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive.”

What the ignorance of Windschitl propagates in line with the NRA. His lack of education and nearly non-existent knowledge of the Constitution is haven for the horde of haters who are ignorant of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution that plainly states that one of the purposes of the Militia was to “suppress Insurrections“—not to foment them. Of course, this reality is lost on such unlearned “lawyers” and pseudo-scholars as Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and the far right sitting in the Supreme Court of the USA (SCOTUS) and in numerous Iowa courtrooms.

A fervent hater of any person who disagrees with him, the witless representative Windschitl introduced HF 173 would require doctors to administer the abortion causing drug mifenristone in person so that an individual could not obtain it without a prescription over the Internet. Anti-choice advocates term this open window for choice as web-cam abortions without the need of direct assistance from a health care professional. To silence choice, Windschitl argues that it is the right of any person to kill any abortion provider at any time even if the technician or doctor was not performing an abortion at the time of his or her murder.

Windschitl believes that people, following Article 10 in the New Hampshire Constitution have a right to overthrow their government. Windschitl’s withering wretched wrestling gymnastics in transmogrifying the Constitution and Original Intent is a boon argument that may encourage patriots to pick up assault rifles and all other weapons, invade the state’s Iowa House of Representatives, and drag Windschitl, Salmon and other charlatans out of the chamber to dismember them in front of the people who Windschitl and Salmon deny the right to freely chose for themselves. It is even more so a clarion call for the people of Iowa who believe in civil and human rights to overthrow the corrupt government of Branstad and his theocratic enabler Bob Vander Plaats, Chuck Hurley and those reprehensible representatives patently  pandering to diminish the right of choice while preying on the young in the manner of the monsters from Minnesota: Bradlee Dean [Smith], who bullies his way into Iowa classrooms and auditoriums to spew his message of hate and ignorance of the Bible (while flaunting Leviticus 19:28), and Michelle Bachmann’s crusade to crucify LGBTs on the gnarled cross of disreputable Reparative Therapy that has been rejected by the American Psychological Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, American Pediatrics Association and over 100 additional professional counseling and health groups, eventhough there is not a single mention of the word homosexuality in any Bible before 1954. As is their basement mentality, Windschitl, Salmon and others ignore all medical and scientific evidence in their quest to control others.  The Iowa State Legislature in its discussion of the rights of women, LGBT equality, and the advance of learning is so far out of date it makes the Roman Catholic Church look modern. The Republicans should be voted out in mass–as they are primarily (along with numerous Democrats) a threat to the state, the nation, and sanity.

What Windschitl forgets by his proposed legislation is it equally affords those who are being stopped by anti-choice fanatics, state troopers, police and sheriffs, the right to shoot on sight, standing their ground, and kill their face-to-face opponents as well as legislators who would deny them choice and doxastic 14 determination of what goes on within the individual body that is among the oldest and most common ontology of past and present Weltanschauung in the framework of human perception.

Guns at Iowa State Fair

Guns at Iowa State Fair

Eager for bloodshed and open revolution for the suppression of the rights of women and others to make choices for themselves without kowtowing to his mental malaise, Windschitl thinks pre-emption (HF 2114)  should include all state buildings and that people have a right to carry any loaded gun into any public building, courthouse, state capitol buildings including the legislature, and other edifice, and even allow loaded firearms on the Iowa State Fairgrounds where beer runs freely and drunken brawls are a common occurrence.

Having been elected to the legislature at 22, Windschitl has no background in law, has little knowledge about democracy. By backing extremist anti-democratic and pro-NAZI policies, Windschitl has the backing of the state and national Tea Party, and casually barks the groups’ distortions, revisions, and lies. Windschitl is rightfully considered the most dangerous man in Iowa.

Without any apparent wisdom and obviously totally witless, Windschitl winched: “We allow people to exercise their First Amendment rights, we should allow them to exercise their Second Amendment rights,” he said. “I have legislation to lift the administrative rule that prohibits firearms on state grounds, but I haven’t filed it yet … Sometimes we have to take this process in steps.”

Windschitl craves the spot-light, but is not strong in his convictions when faced down. While Windschitl fascistically pushes the Second Amendment, he wants to put a limit on the First and other Amendments to the Constitution of the USA. For example, this untrained and capricious youth is against the publication and release of the names of any gun owner or carrier (HF 81), rejecting the principles of the Freedom of Information Act.

Bob Vander Plaats

Bob Vander Plaats

The only real support the Republicans have is that pushed by theological terrorists in predatory pulpits and the Tetramorium thugs in The FAMiLY LEADER. They are led by Iowa Führer Bob Vander Plaats, wife Chris, and his side-kick: the President of the Iowa Family Leader Foundation, Chuck Hurley.  Hurley makes certain that people know he is a “licensed attorney”.  He lobbies for the Iowa Family Policy Center but also takes money from Political Action Campaign chests.

Chuck Hurley of Iowa Family PAC

Chuck Hurley of Iowa Family PAC

Hurley, who celebrates that he had been a practicing attorney for fifteen years, opposes any form of individual human or civil rights that do not conform to his narrow interpretation of what he thinks the Bible says are human and civil rights (he claimed that Governor Chet Culver  of promoting “sexual confusion and deviant behavior” by supporting LGBT rights).  Part of the dynamic duo of bigotry with the depraved “reverend” Keith Ratliff of Des Moines (who constantly cites the Old Testament but is unable to read Hebrew or any ancient language to bolster his attacks on those whom he rejects, especially when it comes to his mistranslation and error-filled interpretation of Leviticus 18:22 15, Hurley, who misquotes the Emperor Constantine’s New Testament that Bishop Eusebius assembled as Hurley has no education nor basic knowledge of ancient Greek or Hebrew and is not only untrained but unfit to “teach” the Bible (Hurley does not acknowledge that the word ομοφυλόφιλος did not exist, as it was not coined or created until 1863, and ομοφυλόφιλος or any similar word does not appear in any Bible before 1954).  Equally, Hurley has no degree or study in psychology, human behavior or any other similar science or study and is unfit to talk about human nature on that he considers himself an expert.  Hurley is a fraud, to be charitable.

When it comes to politics and electing conservatives, money talks.  Both Hurley, of Pleasantville, Iowa, and Vander Plaats (currently claiming Des Moines as his residence) supported Rick Santorum–from whom Hurley took $4000 and Vander Plaats paid himself $6500.  Santorum’s committee continued to pay out to themselves after Santorum withdrew from the presidential contest.

Hurley and Vander Plaats

Hurley and Vander Plaats

Hurley and Vander Plaats’ attack squad, surprisingly similar to the Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda or Propagandaministerium of the nineteenth century Third Reich, visited with each member.  In their “discussions” (one-sided), these Christian terrorists rifled in on personal dedication to assault the rights of free choice among Iowa women.  They proclaimed that they were “encouraged” by the commitment to life at conception that most of them claimed to have in mistranslating Luke 1:44 16, 41 17; the original order was reversed by medieval copyists. The largest group was composed of men–none of whom could become pregnant.  As one priest said in Marshalltown, “if men could become pregnant they would demand that abortion become a sacrament”–in much the same way that marriage was not declared a sacrament until the twelfth century.

The problem that the organized hate group The FAMiLY has with reality is they understand that their gang of gospel geese needs to be “informed” (much like Joseph Goebbels’ argument that stressed the need to control the press and culture so that people had a uniformed idea of society). Hurley and Vander Plaats intoned that they must “educate legislators” on the issue of human generation—an issue that not one in The FAMiLY has a clue.  To make sure that all are “thoroughly educated” so that they can respond forcibly to the questions that their opponents will ask, Vander Plaats, claiming to be an “educator” (he took his bachelor degree in physical education), set up an agenda to teach “biblical truths”–none of which are in the Bible (a twentieth century version complete with errors). 18

The “education” that Hurley and Vander Plaats, a former coach with zero knowledge of the Bible that he claims he represents and stands sentry over, is festering in the myopic mindset of legislators in the State of Georgia. These Christian terrorists point to a pathetically pitiful tome written by Daniel Becker, president of Georgia Right to Life.

Becker’s book is entitled Personhood: A Pragmatic Guide to Prolife Victory in the 21st Century and the Return to First Principles in Politics (Alpharetta, Ga. : TKS [Taking the Kingdom by Storm] Publications 19.  It has neither a firm foundation in embryology, medicine, or Bible.

Personhood is buttressed by the American Right to Life “defenders”—a certified hate group. Becker has no serious academic credentials.

Becker “attended” Emmaus Bible College 1970-1973.  He did not graduate. He has no credits nor degrees in theology, bible, embryology, or paediatrics.  His only claim to fame and “education” is marginal, at best:  Becker did study during the summer of 1973 under Francis Schaeffer at L’Abri (the shelter), Switzerland. Becker’s lack of any serious education, however, is far stronger than the academic pursuits in Bible of either Hurley or Vander Plaats.

L’Abri is not a school by any interpretation but a center of indoctrination. This center claims that the Bible answers all questions and to debate the bible is heresy. L’Abri is not certified by any reputable group, and has been considered only as a place for fantasy education.  Its leader was, at best, a charlatan but with more charisma than Hurley or Vander Plaats.

An American Evangelical theologian, Francis August Schaeffer (1912-1984) was opposed to any form of “modernism”.  Later, Francis August Schaeffer and his opposition to “modernism” were soundly denounced by his more famous son Frank Schaeffer.  Frank Schaeffer is known as an author, film-maker and painter.

Frank Schaeffer, the son, stated that his father was more interested in the arts and culture than in the Bible that left him depressed and resulted in a verbally and physically abusive relationship with his wife, Edith. 20. The constant fighting and physically assaults launched by the father eventually proved to the son that the “love of God” meant nothing in the hands of a mad man.

Francis August Schaeffer was in may ways like Margaretta Ludder (Luther) who beat her son 21 the will of god”, the belt being used against me by my father, Herbert Frederick Ide of Waterloo, Iowa, who wa praised by Ascension Lutheran Church in Waterloo–especially after Herbert left $1 million to its “Christ centered” school.

Herbert & Mildred Ide gave $1 million to Valley Lutheran School

Herbert & Mildred Ide gave $1 million to Valley Lutheran School

Herbert would beat me severely, raising welts and broken blood tissues, with his belt in the basement of the house on Tucson Drive in Cedar Falls when I was young. This did not stop until the Cedar Falls Police took me to the jail and arrested Herbert.  This led Herbert to  divorcing my mother for attempting to attempting to dissuade him from further punishments he wanted to administer on my small body. Such protection, he declared, was not in the rubrics of the Lutheran faith nor found in Martin Luther’s Small Catechisms.].

Martin Luther wrote: “My mother canned me for stealing a nut, until the blood came. … My father (Hans) once whipped me so that I ran away and felt ugly toward him until he was at pains to win me back. [At school] I was caned in a single morning fifteen times for nothing at all. I was required to decline and conjugate and hadn’t learned my lesson.” 22 This was the psychological foundation for Luther’s never-ending hatred that ultimately fastened itself onto the Jews who refused to convert, children and peasants who did not obey, and women who refused to be silent.  The Iowa legislature wants to make certain that all women and children are silent and only men and women subordinate to men and the rule of men have control over everyone else.

  18. The Christian Church did not exist until the Emperor Constantine I created it in 325 CE when the Emperor called his Council of Nicaea in an effort to gain financial and military support from the warrior bishops in the ekklesia–an ancient word that meant “a law court” or a “business to raise revenue” (Eusebius, Vita Constantini 36-37).  There was no Bible until Constantine commissioned the Arian bishop to compose it (in 331 CE) while the Emperor and his minions burned numerous gospels and letters that did not agree with the Imperial idea of what Paulinity should be and transmogrify into Christianity. Eusebius’ Bible is filled with errors as found in the numerous translations of phrases:  the phrase εν πολυτελως ησκημενοις τευχεσι τρισσα και τετρασσα διαπεμψαντων ημων has more than a dozen different meanings. Cp. the arguments in Novum Testamentum Graece ad Antiquissimos Testes Denuo Recensuit, Tischendorf, Editio Octava Critica Maior, Leipzig 1884, vol. III, p. 348; Gregory, Caspar René (1900). Textkritik des Neuen Testaments. 1. Leipzig. p. 22, with Eusebius admitting he sent the Bibles to Constantine for study: Apologia ad Constantium 4. The only versions close to the original are the Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaticus–in the Vatican vaults.

7 comments to Ignorance increasing in Iowa: Idiots in the Legislature, Predators in Pulpits

  • Joe Besse  says:

Damned! At first I thought you were talking about Texas! It is interesting about the concept that life begins with conception. Of course, that means that God is a murderer too, since doesn’t a woman of child bearing age abort about a half dozen times during her child bearing years without even knowing it? And then there are thousands of miscarriages that are attributed to a misdeveloped fetus. But this has nothing to do with God since all Gods creations are perfect. Its human intervention that screws things up, isn’t it? Does Iowa have an Inquisition Court. We could make a good living selling fire wood.

  • J. Leslie Thompson  says:

With the best and the brightest being lured into the self serving business of speculation and hedging, we are left with the people, who like G. W. Bush, think that the celebrity of politics is the only benefit of public service. To paraphrase Sinclair Lewis, “When tyranny comes to America, it’ll be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross.”

  • Sami Swan Thompson  says:

You explained that the “illiterate in the House of Legislature do not understand . . . that the brain does not exist at the time of conception.” Obviously, for the idiots you’ve described to us, the brain does not always develop/exist after conception, either.

I enjoyed your multi-layered explanation, as well as your word play. I can’t think of anyone who provides such complete documentation of sources in his/her work. As mentioned before, I’ve learned more in reading your work than in all the courses I took in college. Curiously, the information has stayed with me (unlike in school), so I’ve been able to reference and use it in daily life.

Thank you for putting history and current events in an accessible form that is compatible with different forms of learning. Also, thank you for having the personal courage to expose the obscenities occurring in Iowa. I cannot imagine why any sensible person would remain there.

I look forward to your next post!

    • Bobbie Lay  says:

Thank you for making us all aware of this situation. It’s a daunting job to fight this kind of ignorance. When will stupid people in power (and the stupid people who follow them blindly) realize you cannot legislate morality? One can only hope the intelligent people in power will step in and take action.

  • Charla Hays  says:

This was a very interesting article. However, I do not agree with everything that was said.

  • Asdis  says:

Thanks for a clearly written and thoughtful essay on this topic.

  • Action Grammarian  says:

Well, come on Charla, explain and discuss which points you disagree with. I’m sure your points will be insightful and concise.
